I recently stayed at the Sandman Hotel Montreal and overall had a great experience. The hotel is conveniently located with a train station directly across the street, making it easy to get downtown and to Old Montreal in about 10 minutes.
The property also offers an indoor pool, an on-site restaurant, beautiful city views, comfortable beds, and spacious rooms.
There were several things I especially appreciated. The ability to store luggage before check-in was very helpful, and the location made getting around Montreal simple and convenient.
There are a few areas where I think improvements could be made. The bathroom cleanliness was inconsistent during our stay. Although we requested additional cleaning, there were still spots that appeared to have been missed. The pool area would also benefit from added amenities such as music, light snacks, beverages, or a small bar service to enhance the guest experience.
Another improvement would be offering room service. Since the restaurant operates during limited hours, having the option to order breakfast or other meals directly to the room would be a great convenience. The hotel could also provide guests with information about nearby supermarkets, pharmacies, and local attractions.
Check-in is currently at 4:00 p.m., which feels a bit late. Earlier check-in options are available, but the additional fee seemed expensive.
Lastly, upgrading the televisions to smart TVs with access to streaming services such as Netflix would improve the in-room experience.
Despite these suggestions, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend the hotel for its location, comfort, views, and overall value.

Great location! The hotel is right across the street from a subway station where there is a coffee shop which was very handy in the morning. The staff was friendly, and check-in/check-out was quick and easy. Parking was a big bonus and one of the reasons we chose this hotel.
The hotel is in need of renovation and updating. The furniture and carpet are quite old, and the carpet looked dirty. The mattress was very soft and had visible sagging. The pillows were too high for our comfort, and two people in our group experienced neck pain after sleeping.
The room had a musty smell upon arrival. In addition, the air conditioning/heating unit was very noisy, which made it difficult to sleep comfortably.
The bathroom and towels also appeared worn and could benefit from being refreshed. Overall, the property feels dated and would greatly benefit from renovations and improved maintenance.

I enjoyed the pool but sauna was broken
The noise of the party of children in the hotel was not good. They were allowed to play in the corridor of the floor they were on, because of the disturbance we left a day early to stay at a different hotel.
