A lovely place to stay in Loreto! We would stay there again, although we found it a bit pricey.

Pros:

Alejandro and the entire staff went out of their way to take care of us. We arrived early and they watched our things and ensured we had a taxi to get back to the airport.

The location was great, and the property was beautiful. The restaurant had very cold beer and a nice menu. The complementary breakfast was very good.

Cons:

The bed was extremely hard, and there was a limited supply of hot water. The Wi-Fi was down twice over a two-day period.

Amazing Place where the desert meets the sea
Pros:

Was in a Swim Treak group. There were 15 of us in all. Hotel 1697 was very very nice. Located right in the middle of it all, easy walking distance to everything. BIG shout out to the staff Maria, Verito,Ana and Vicky. Thanks you so much ladies for taking care of us so well. The breakfast was out of this world. HIGH recommend

Pros:

Veronica was amazing .She did it all .The breakfast she cooked was superb the towel art she did in the rooms was inspired .Veronica and other staff who worked with her were truly great and made our stay enjoyable

The pool through much of our stay was dirty .(12 nights)Leaves in the pool and green slime .Not sure if there was a problem but the pool is a focal point and should be pristine .Also be aware the price you agreed to at booking is just a suggestion .We were charged almost $200 extra supposedly due to exchange rate .Does that mean the rate will go down with a favourable exchange rate ...?Probably not..It leaves a bad taste in your mouth when you check in .

Pros:

The hotel is located right in downtown Loreto. Walking distance to shops, restaurants, and the beach. Breakfast was good and the rooms were nice. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I would recommend this hotel to anyone going for the first time to visit.
