We have no parking on site. Nearby parking is available at St James Quarter car park (postcode EH1 3BP), who offer our guests a discounted daily rate of £17 for 24h. Simply collect you parking ticket on entry, but please ensure to also collect your discount ticket from reception upon departure. Alternatively on street parking is available (restrictions and pricing vary).
When traveling with a dog, please note that an extra charge of £25 for 1 dog or £40 for maximum 2 dogs, per night applies. Dogs are allowed in designated guest rooms-please notify the hotel in advance.
The Breakfast inclusive rates include a Full-cooked breakfast and Dinner inclusive rates includes 2 courses from our Seasonal A’ la Carte menu and a side dish. Supplements apply to certain items. Inclusions only apply for adults. Children’s Breakfast is not included in the advertised rates and the charges are as follows directly to the hotel: 0-4 years old – Breakfast Complimentary/5- 11 years old – Breakfast charged at 50% full price/ 12 and over breakfast charged at full adult price. Kids Dinner Menu also available.

I had a very enjoyable stay overall.
The breakfast was excellent and one of the highlights of my stay. I really appreciated that there was a warm breakfast menu with a good variety of freshly prepared options. I tried an avocado benedict which was super. It is something to look forward to!
The location is fantastic—very central, with most of the city's main attractions, restaurants, and shops within walking distance, making it incredibly convenient to explore the city without relying on transport.
The room was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and well maintained. I also loved the heated towel rail in the bathroom, which was especially appreciated after spending time outdoors in the Scottish weather. The bar downstairs has a lovely atmosphere and is a great place to unwind in the evening.
There are a few areas where the experience could be improved. Before leaving for a Highlands tour, I asked whether I could leave my luggage at reception. The receptionist who checked me in (D) kindly offered a paid luggage storage option, which I decided to use when I returned to reception before leaving. Unfortunately, a different receptionist told me there was no space available and became noticeably dismissive during the conversation. As a result, I had to take my luggage with me on the tour. I later discovered that several other hotels in the area were happy to store luggage free of charge, even for guests who were not staying there again, so this was a little disappointing and inconsistent with what I had initially been told.
A few additional amenities would make the stay even better. Hair conditioner in the bathroom would be particularly useful, and a coffee machine in the room would have been a welcome addition (unless I simply overlooked it).
Access to the room involved quite a few flights of stairs and several fire doors, which made moving luggage a little cumbersome. On arrival, the receptionist very kindly helped me with my bags, which I greatly appreciated. However, when checking out, no assistance was offered.
Finally, my room overlooked a small courtyard directly facing another building. Because of the lack of privacy, I kept the curtains closed for most of my stay, which made the room feel darker than it otherwise would have.
These were relatively minor issues compared with the many positives. The excellent breakfast, ideal location, cleanliness, and welcoming atmosphere made for a very pleasant stay, and I would consider staying here again.

The location is excellent. It's very close to the train station, the airport tram, and the main attractions. The breakfast is outstanding, with the fresh pastries that are far better than what most hotels in the U.S. offer. On top of that, items from the breakfast menu are also included, which makes it an even better value. And the shower diverter is very easy to operate.
The lighting in the room is dark, but it doesn't bother me. If someone needs to work or read at night maybe too dark.
The hotel is beautiful, the food and cocktails were lovely and the staff were friendly and attentive.
