We have no parking on site. Nearby parking is available at St James Quarter car park (postcode EH1 3BP), who offer our guests a discounted daily rate of £17 for 24h. Simply collect you parking ticket on entry, but please ensure to also collect your discount ticket from reception upon departure. Alternatively on street parking is available (restrictions and pricing vary).
When traveling with a dog, please note that an extra charge of £25 for 1 dog or £40 for maximum 2 dogs, per night applies. Dogs are allowed in designated guest rooms-please notify the hotel in advance.
The Breakfast inclusive rates include a Full-cooked breakfast and Dinner inclusive rates includes 2 courses from our Seasonal A’ la Carte menu and a side dish. Supplements apply to certain items. Inclusions only apply for adults. Children’s Breakfast is not included in the advertised rates and the charges are as follows directly to the hotel: 0-4 years old – Breakfast Complimentary/5- 11 years old – Breakfast charged at 50% full price/ 12 and over breakfast charged at full adult price. Kids Dinner Menu also available.

Beautiful decor, staff were all lovely, room was a great size and the black out blinds were great, along with a super comfy bed- we got a well needed long lie.
The accommodation and the service provided by the staff was first class.
We will use the hotel again when visiting Edinburgh. The discount for the car park was greatly appreciated. The selection of drinks in the bar covered everyone taste.
There wasn’t anything that we didn’t like.
We were originally booked into this hotel in 2025 via Booking.com to attend a concert which was later postponed. Both the hotel and booking.com were excellent in allowing us to move the date to the following year, despite it being a non cancellable room. However, just before our stay we contacted Malmaison to check the room type and discovered one of our rooms had been moved to a different date in 2025 and not to 2026, although this was booking.coms error, Malmaison were excellent and resolved the issue within 15 minutes, even giving us an upgrade. Excellent customer service from start to finish.
The hotel is gorgeous, short walk from the train station. Beautifully decorated and staff were excellent and very welcoming. We had a lovely suite on the top floor with a huge bed and bath in the room. Breakfast was included and was delicious with plenty of choice.
We had a fabulous stay and thank Malmaison for their excellent customer service.

The location is close to the bus stop and the Ibis Syles Hotel St Andrews Square. The service was not great nor was the food. Two of us had the fish sandwich special which consisted of two very small pieces of tasteless fish on a large and dry bun. The atmosphere was not pleasant. This restaurant is not worth the money.

Toiletries were minimal. Could have done with some moisturiser. Decor although interesting was rather gloomy when the building opposite was a hotel so couldn’t leave blinds open. Lovely in restaurant.
Excellent location, great staff who were super helpful. They also provided a complimentary coffee and croissant in the morning and allowed an extra 30 minutes for check out.
No slippers, had to ask for them. Limited menu. Room felt a little less luxurious than I expected and the lighting was really poor. However there were many lights around the room.
Nice boutique hotel in a not too crowded area. Room and bathroom were large by European standards and very clean. Front desk staff were helpful and kind. Would stay here again.
