We have no parking on site. Nearby parking is available at St James Quarter car park (postcode EH1 3BP), who offer our guests a discounted daily rate of £17 for 24h. Simply collect you parking ticket on entry, but please ensure to also collect your discount ticket from reception upon departure. Alternatively on street parking is available (restrictions and pricing vary).
When traveling with a dog, please note that an extra charge of £25 for 1 dog or £40 for maximum 2 dogs, per night applies. Dogs are allowed in designated guest rooms-please notify the hotel in advance.
The Breakfast inclusive rates include a Full-cooked breakfast and Dinner inclusive rates includes 2 courses from our Seasonal A’ la Carte menu and a side dish. Supplements apply to certain items. Inclusions only apply for adults. Children’s Breakfast is not included in the advertised rates and the charges are as follows directly to the hotel: 0-4 years old – Breakfast Complimentary/5- 11 years old – Breakfast charged at 50% full price/ 12 and over breakfast charged at full adult price. Kids Dinner Menu also available.

The Malmaison is a stunning hotel . It’s so central , clean great friendly staff and breakfast is outstanding . We have stayed there twice already this year ! We have stated in the Caledonian and Kimpton many times but this one is our new go too hotel in Edinburgh

Room and bathroom need more lighting too dark when you’re getting ready to go out
It looks small but has lots of wonderful levels. It is on a hill so ground level is the 4th floor! It is walking distance of Princess Street but without the chaos of loads of shoppers. Also, very near Waverley train station. It had an excellent restaurant although it was on the pricey side! However, it was worth it. The staff were very good and showed an real interest in their customers.
I can’t really think of a downside. Even breakfast was superb and passed the ‘genuinely fresh scrambled egg test’.
