I loved the spacious room and well stocked snack and drink options in the room, including the free water.
The decor was beautiful. The bathroom had a gorgeous vintage look. I had a great view of the lit up monument at night.
The coffee shop was serving a delicious orange chocolate chai.
I only ate at the hotel rooftop restaurant the last 48 hours of my stay. I was mostly pleased with the food on offer. Unfortunatley, the night before my flight home I contracted food poisoning after dinner. I told the staff the following morning and the front desk staff gave a simple “feel better.” I would have hoped they had asked if they could bring me anything (an extra duvet would have been nice but at least I could turn up the thermostat to 90 when I was sick and chilled) or refund the meal that caused the food poisoning. The also had medicine at the front desk but no Imodium or pepto bismol or anything. That would help. I wanted to speak to someone at the hotel and gave them that opportunity (specifically asked them to reach out) before leaving this review but no one reached out. I wanted them to at least reassure me whether the kitchen staff were notified of the situation and made changes for other guests. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen so here is the review.
Nice eclectic hotel in a great area.
The topside restaurant was beautiful but the service was very slow.
Bside didn't even open the door to let us in or tell us they were busy.
Netflix did not work in the room. Phone in the room to call the desk was broken
We loved the experience! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself was a total vibe.
The mattress on our bed wasn’t the most comfortable. Not terrible, but also, not great.
Our room had a spectacular view of Mt. Vernon. It was spacious, beautiful, and very clean. We also loved the roof top restaurant (we went twice) and the coffee shop.
nothing!
The place was Ah-mazing, everything about what it was great 10/10 would recommend
Nothing at all

We went for a wedding that was not held at the hotel. Be prepared for pricey parking and allow extra time to get from the hotel to any venue for an event whether you are parking yourself or using another means of transportation. The elevators are very small and slow so allow extra time for that as well.
The staff was very helpful and our room was clean though for three people we had to request an additional towel.
So many Pros:
Loved the large corner room on the 6th floor! Direct view of Mt. Vernon Square was amazing. Almost everything about room 604 was perfect, except the bathroom sink, which was clogged. The room decor was quirky and unique, which is what we love about Boutique hotels, right! This room didn't disappoint, right down to the period like coffee pot. The mid-century mod furnishings were nice, although the bench at the end of the bed was a bit shaky (must have gotten a workout). Details like a bit of wallpaper atop the headboard gave the space personality. Loved it. Had a great dinner at Topside restaurant on the 14th floor and a very good breakfast at The Dashery downstairs in the morning before checkout. The eggs were great and seasoned well. Loved the chicken sausage, and they have really good gf english muffins. The prices are a bit steep at the Dashery, but the ambiance was so cute, and the breakfast was well done. My husband and I also really enjoyed their home fries. Another pro: The staff, and more specifically, the night manager at the front desk; shout out to Lorenzo! He went out of his way to help us make our Topside reservation on time while checking us in by helping me scout out parking spots. When it was down to the wire, he offered his parking spot to my husband! Good lookin' out Lorenzo. Thank you again! Will definitely be back for a longer stay.
Cons:
The bed was a bit hard, but OK.
The drainage issue at the bathroom sink. That darn thing filled up quickly and drained slower than molasses, so must've been clogged. Didn't interfere with our good time though!
A venerable property on Mt. Vernon Plaza west. Our room as a "Monumental King," which overlooked the Washington Monument. Valet parking was quick and easy. The desk staff was prompt, courteous, and helpful. Despite overlooking Monument Street, I didn't notice any traffic noise. There was just a bit of noise in the hallways in the morning, which I attributed to check-out and housecleaning sounds. The on-site restaurants and bars were lovely, especially Topside, which offered a broad panorama of the city. There's plenty to do in the neighborhood. I would definitely recommend!
Stayed here recently on a short trip to Baltimore and was checked in by Towanda, who was friendly and professional. There was an issue with the loo in my room but when I notified her, she moved me to another beautiful room. The room was spacious, very clean, the decor easy on the eye and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was quirky and shower powerful with fluffy towels provided. The room had a fantastic view of the Washington Monument as well.
Met Lorenzo and Sydney in the morning and they were very nice and friendly. Lorenzo explained about the loo and why it was the way it was which was satisfactory. The hotel lobby layout and ambience was great and the location is very central and in a nice neighbourhood (Mt Vernon). I will stay there again on my next visit to Baltimore!
