Decent place, nice lobby area and welcoming staff.
Pros:

The location was good for us, near family and close to Whole Foods and other food spots we used. Very dog friendly which was great as we like to travel with our large Bernadoodle.

Cons:

I didn’t realize there was a charge for pets and it was a pricey stay with parking charges too. Also , no one cleaned our room even thought we stated the dog was not in the room.

not good , they should improve the service
Pros:

Property was the similar to others but Toilet holder was broken when we went to the room . My son went to the gym, the machine made a noise , then the night staff shouted at my son who is a customer in the hotel. There is other way to talk to my son . I am an honor member of the Hilton but the staff charged me $25 per night for a parking, while not many cars were parked, and I paid $270 while the night rate was $170.

Cons:

not much

Clean hotel. Expensive and had to pay for parking
Pros:

It was clean. People at the desk were very nice. Bed was comfortable. Needed a little cosmetics. Lots of stores close by.

Cons:

Property was fine. But, hard to find. Had to pay for parking, while there was a lot of parking. Plus very expensive, compared to a hotel we stayed at in Lexington.

Great staff, awful location, misleading information about the hotel. I wouldn't stay there again.
Pros:

The bathroom was nice, the bed was comfortable and the staff were very courteous and friendly. Apart from that I'm struggling to think of anything else.

Cons:

First of all the location. The Hotel states this. 'A complimentary shuttle is offered to local attractions within a 2 mi radius of the hotel and includes Cambridge Business Park and Harvard Square stops'. That's not the case at all, they stopped operating the shuttle a few months back. It's a bit of a hike to Alewife T station. I was led to believe that it was a few minutes but it's little under 0.5 mile and it's uphill in both directions because you have to go over a railway flyover. This really put a dampener on my trip.

Secondly the room had no 24 hour TV stations. No CNN, Fox, etc, whatever your flavor of news is they didn't have it. First time I've ever stayed in a hotel that didn't offer at least one 24 hour news channel.

Pros:

Posizione comoda con parcheggio e vicino a stazione metropolitana. letto grande e comodo.

Cons:

Worst hotel I have stayed in ,
Pros:

This is not a Hilton standard hotel , I have stayed in Hilton's all round the world and this is the worst I have ever experienced .This is a travel lodge standard and a poor one at that . The state of the place , technically is a fire hazard as well as unclean . List of issues , room 412, big large brown marks on the artex ceiling above the bed , yes artex. Electrical wires hanging loose, the air con plug is off its fixings. The metal rim to the door entry for the room on the inside hanging loose and very sharp . Someone will cut their leg on it . Beds unclean , domestic services poor, no loo rolls. Breakfast is basic and served on paper plates, coffee is in takeaway cups, juice is in plastic and you have a disposable knife and fork to eat it with . During my stay , everyone has complained , but it falls on deaf ears. Even a Hilton employee who was saying here, said he has never seen anything so basic and poor. It wouldn't be as bothered if it was cheap, but they ask for a hefty price . If you get to this stage, your need to give yourself a shake if you are still thinking about booking. Avoid avoid avoid . We will be making a formal complaint to the Hilton group and seeking compensation. Spoilt our stay in a great city. Loads better Hotels and to the Hilton management, you need to think seriously about the damage this is doing to your reputation as a good quality hotel chain .

Not living up to a Hilton branded reputation
Pros:

I would rate this hotel as a two-three star hotel. It is quite old. The lobby area has been renovated somewhat, so is presentable, but unfortunately the rooms and room levels are less desirable. Old and dirty carpet throughout with a musty smell. Dead cockroaches in the stairwell. Beds were ok but on the soft side. Our room did not even have a proper closet - it came with a makeshift clothing rack. On the plus side, the location is convenient to Cambridge, the staff were very nice, and everything in the room worked. Nice amenities in the bathroom. Nevertheless, overall less than I would have expected for a Hilton branded hotel. Should have stayed at a Marriott.

The Freepoint Hotel Cambridge, by Hilton.
Pros:

We had a very good stay at the Freepoint Hotel Cambridge, especially for the front desk team! Kayla was just wonderful always smiling and even keeping for us our favorite candy! Raven, Angel, David, with Kayla were very friendly and professional! They all did a great job and we are thankful for that! The hotel is well located, not in downtown Cambridge, but its quite and with some shopping and a Whole Foods and a Traders Joe very close by. There is a hotel restaurant which we tried only for breakfast. We needed decaf coffee and they dont serve it, but there is a Starbucks inside the hotel and they do serve decaf, so that was our breakfast place every day, service is good and their employees were kind and professional. Housekeeping did also a good job, you need to place the Service green card to have service every day. Isabel was very nice and friendly. The Freepoint needs a little update on some of the areas, and on the bathroom floors, but everything looks very clean. Don’t forget to try their afternoon cookies, just baked and still warm, they were delicious! Will stay again at the Freepoint Hotel Cambridge for sure!
