L’accueil de personnel et son emplacement
Ottima posizione, camera pulita e spaziosa.
The location is absolutely amazing - right in the beautiful village! Enjoyed every moment of evening and morning stroll. Breakfast was also great and the staff super caring and kind!
Public parking P1 was full upon our arrival. There were some spaces in P2. Might be an issue for those travelling with luggage as you can’t enter the village to drop off your luggage.
Hotel muito bem localizado. Quarto limpo e confortável. Cafe da manha bom.
N/A
Stunning location, free room upgrade, staff were lovely, the breakfast was amazing value - and coffee very good. Bed was very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
L’emplacement
Trop rustique
Excellent location
If you are sensitive to smell, the restaurant which you walk through to get into the hotel smells very strongly of cheese. No parking outside the hotel as the centre of Gruyères village is pedestrian. Nearest car park is a few minutes walk away though, so not too far if you can find a spot there.
Super Lage, in der Nacht ruhig, gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis
Keine Storen, Vorhänge dunkeln nicht gut ab
Quaint hotel located in the center of town. Internet connection is good. Parking is in parking lots located outside of town, with no charge to park from 6PM - 8AM.
PRO
- location is perfect (10 min walk from train station)
- amazing view from room (Edelweiss room booked)
- parking spaces if needed
- fan in room for summer season
- good breakfast; great coffee
CON
- Horrible check in service; literally a table at the restaurant is the “check in”
- Staff is rude & dismissive when you try to check in
- No glassware in rooms
- Inappropriate artwork in room ((if traveling with kids)
- Shower is dated
- Horrible towels
If you are looking for a pleasant arrival then this is not the place for you. Unfortunately for the management of the establishment, they proceeded to complain about our wanting to check in when the restaurant was busy without realizing that I speak French and understood everything they said. They then proceeded to keep chatting and pushed us off to a server who had no idea how to check us in. We arrived past the check in time sited on website and where treated like a burden instead of valued guests. As a result we didn’t even eat dinner there and opted for dinner across the street where we received amazing service and felt welcomed.
