Cozy hotel close to the main sights
Pros:

Staff was very helpful. I rented the motorbike just right from the friendly hotels staff at the reception desk for less than 10$ a day and was very happy. This hotel is in the very heart of VN district, a lot of food around and Circle K just around the corner.

Cons:

This hotel is great value for money. Didn't find anything bad to write about. Amazing stay

It was okay
Pros:

- The location is great, close to Quang Ninh museum and the center of Hon Gai.
- Room was clean, facilities are okay.

Cons:

- Checkin time is a bit late (2PM) but the receptionist was kind enough to let us check in earlier.
- No breakfast options (for low season) so we need to walk 500m for nearest place.
- The bathroom curtain is see through, which did not give enough privacy.

Pros:

Location easy accessible to the Halong Bay Marathon venue.
Spacious room, toilet and shower

Cons:

Staff has very limited knowledge of English.

Pros:

Staff are very considerate and helpful in checking us in ahead of time since we are leaving for the cruise before the check in time. They gave us the nearest room available with our friend's room. even if we just booked for a double room, they gave us the family room. They even booked our car ride back to Hanoi. Just inquire about it at the counter.

Cons:

I like everything.

Ideal for the Marathon
Pros:

It was very close to the start of the Ha long bay marathon. The beds were comfortable and there was a fridge.

Cons:

The bathroom was flooding during the night- there was an overflow pipe from somewhere else that was leaking into the bathroom.. There was a funny smell - dusty/mildew in the room.
