Watch Out For Double Charges!
Pros:

We pre paid for our reservation through Delta Stays American Express on Feb. 17th for deluxe king room, all paid.

On arrival I tried to show the front desk lady my receipt and she did not want to see it. She then tried to offer us an upgrade to a balcony room for $220 a night, we declined as we are retired and on a budget.

We then went up to the deluxe king room and it had malfunctioning wooden blinds and I knew I would not be able to sleep if you could not close them.

We proceeded back down to the front desk and said we would take the upgrade if it had black out drapes and it did. I told her again about the prepay in February and she assured me it would only be the difference between that and the upgrade.

The upgrade room was clean but extremely noisy. Very hard to sleep.

On checkout 6 days later I asked for a receipt and was told It would get emailed to me. I verified the email address with her too.

I then finally got back home and logged on to my email and no receipt! I then log on to my American Express and see I was double charged! I then proceed to try and call the hotel. I was treated with rudeness and routed to accounting/billing in which no one ever answered and the voice mail was always full.

I placed over 10 calls to hotel trying to get this issue resolved over 2 days and finally decided to let American Express handle it as I had no other recourse. I filed a dispute with them over the charges.
Breakdown:
Original payment
$1,272.46 on February 17th
$1,727.28 on June 1st
We should only have been charged the difference between what we originally paid and the upgrade which would be $454.82

I never would have had to file a dispute had the employees been on the ball.
I even finally asked to have a manager call me and was told that they would but it never happened.
This was extremely stressful.

One last thing, the male employees were polite and smiled but the front desk women were extremely rude and NEVER smiled.

Enjoyable Stay Close to Bourbon
Pros:

The location was wonderful. The room with balcony was great. There is a magnifying mirror in the bathroom, which I appreciated for makeup. The pool was relaxing and they came around and asked if you wanted drinks. The bar downstairs has nice music at night. When you enter, the marble stairs and the lobby are beautiful. We had a very enjoyable stay.

Don't bother with this place.
Pros:

No Water pressure and no hotwater. If you let the water run for about 30minutes before you take a shower it will be warm. Had problems with the toilet not flushing properly. They don't have a water bottle vending machine and wont give you bottles of water at the front counter.

Not as good as it used to be
Pros:

Definitely not the high end experience that they would like you to think that they provide. Many things seemed cheap or just not a quality experience. Will be re-evaluating future stays there.

Disappointed
Pros:

Location is great. Found un flushed toilet, back of earring and a dirty ball cap when entering the room after check in. Staff didn’t do a whole lot to help. Pool is full of bugs that crawl all over you and drains that don’t work so the water is just nasty sitting there. Bugs in their alcohol drinks. Valet didn’t re-enter our vehicle upon return so waited over an hour the next day to retrieve as they were clueless. Staff wasn’t all that great except the bell hop. Wouldn’t return here unless for the location. Nothing luxurious about it or worth the price point.

Great staff and vibes
Pros:

Really nice stay for a conference and some sight seeing on the side. The staff were great, especially Lei at the front desk who went above and beyond to help us fix our reservation. It was nice to be in the midst of the French Quarter and our room was surprisingly quiet at night. Plus, the air conditioning works great, and the pool is a fun old-school vibe in the central courtyard.

Best Vacation Ever!
Pros:

My daughter and I had the best holiday here in New Orleans. We always travel together and this was the best trip ever! Everyone was so friendly and so helpful. I don't believe we have ever met so many wonderful people in one place. Not one single negative encounter. How refreshing is that!

We love you New Orleans and all those that made our trip a memory that will last forever! Hope to see y'all soon.

Disappointing
Pros:

Not the best experience here. We had no hot water the entire time and water pressure was weak. We spoke to the front desk and they didn’t really seem to care. They said they’ve been having problems with it but didn’t communicate this to any of their guests before or at arrival.

Hotel is in a great location with main areas of the hotel very comfortable.
Bar area is basic for what you pay. Service was a big let down.

Hot water issues
Pros:

Very mixed experience.

Pros- Location is great. In the heart of French Quarter. Walking distance to restaurants, bars, stores, etc. Hotel is beautiful, complimentary coffee and water bottles. Good size room. Staff was welcoming and friendly. The concierge, Roy, was extremely helpful and gave us great tips!

Cons- NO hot water. I talked to other guests in the lobby and it appears to be based on room location. Some guests had no issue w/hot water. We stayed in grande room with 2 queens. Staff eventually told us to turn on sink water and run shower for 15 min to get hot water. Despite running water for over 15 min ( I put on timer), several mornings it only got to luke warm. Mgmt offered to change us to another room, but later said whole hotel was having hot water issues. Mgmt did offer some compensation, but having no hot water on some days and running the water for 15 min in order to get hot water was not a good experience.
Noise: Our room was above hotel bar and we could hear the band playing late at night.
$50 early check in charge
$35 extra charge for courtyard view

Great Service & Location in French Quarter
Pros:

Great service at Bourbon Orleans in the French Quarter. Phone reservations, check-in and check-out were easy. Welcoming and helpful Front Desk staff. Concierge, Roy, was extremely professional and Security Officer, Roy, escorted me across Bourbon Street to music venue, going and returning. You can't find better service at an ideal location in the French Quarter. It will be my go-to hotel in New Orleans. Period.

Great stay!
Pros:

Location is awesome since it is within walking distance of most all the must sees in NOLA. Staff, especially those working the door were friendly and helpful. Huey was our favorite member of the staff, always greeting us with a huge smile and was so helpful with any questions we had. We absolutely loved him. He made us feel like we were coming home everytime we came back to the hotel after being out.

Stately building, good location, some tips
Pros:

This hotel offers beautiful accommodations in a handy location. The atrium is stately and inviting, concierge services are available, the courtyard pool offers guest privacy, breakfast or supper are available at the in-house restaurant Roux, and music and drinks are available at the in-house bar. The rooms and hallways feel upscale. Four tips:
1. We flew in, stayed for 7 days, and didn’t rent a car, so we relied on lots of walking and the city bus and trolley system. Go to the RTA Le Pass online and for $9 you can get a 3-day unlimited pass. Otherwise, it’s just $1.25 per one-way trip (per “line” - so an additional $1.25 for every bus or trolley connection to jump off one line and take another line to complete your trip) - but have exact amount of you’re using cash- they don’t make change.
2. To save a bit of money for some meals and drinks, we opted to get food, meals, and drinks at the nearby Rouse’s Market grocery store just around the corner from the hotel. Very reasonable prices and great selections.
3. The WW2 museum is just a 30 minute walk away. We recommend giving yourself 4-5 hours to see everything while also allowing yourself time to see the movies, too. We took the trolly system there and then walked back - walking 15 minutes, stopping for supper, and then walking the remainder of the way.
4. You are close to the beautiful St Louis Catholic Church (which means you’re also near Jackson Square) and they still perform masses. We attended the Sunday 11 am mass and it is worth going if you are Catholic.
One warning: We arrived on a Friday night and literally had just a trickle of water for showering the next morning, but were told there were 100 people checking out that morning - so high volume simultaneous shower usage. Then, a week later on Friday morning, our checkout day, we had pretty good volume of water but it was all ice cold - no hot water. So there are hot water issues of some kind. But we’ve stayed in other parts of the country in historic buildings and districts like this and have experienced similar water issues and we just write it off as a minor First World inconvenience.

Problems solved
Pros:

We had issues on our room. It was decided to move us to another room. Check and find same issue with hot water in 2nd room. Get moved to a 3rd and final room. James and Jaquan were very helpful with getting us moved and understanding why we checked hot water in 2nd room before we unpacked. Everyone at this hotel have been helpful and friendly.

Nice hotel, great location - with pool!
Pros:

Location is great - round the corner from Bourbon Street, but we were not disturbed at night by the activity. It's an easy walk to many of the great locations. the staff were all really nice and helpful and friendly.
The room was fine. A fair size overall, and comfy beds. Decent size bathroom.
The pool area is also nice with good sun loungers, although most of the area is mainly in shade due to the pool being surrounded by the building.

Cons:

We were on the 6th floor, and the walls were slanted at places reducing the usable space. Our window looked out onto the swimming pool, however the window was so dirty you could barely see through it. There are shutters over the windows, so that cut out some light that came in during the morning but not all of it.
Hanging space good (no shelves). The power of the shower was poor, and it took several minutes for the water to be warm enough to stand under.
There are no shower facilities to use if you need to later in the day, if you have already checked out of your room.
