Location is great - round the corner from Bourbon Street, but we were not disturbed at night by the activity. It's an easy walk to many of the great locations. the staff were all really nice and helpful and friendly.
The room was fine. A fair size overall, and comfy beds. Decent size bathroom.
The pool area is also nice with good sun loungers, although most of the area is mainly in shade due to the pool being surrounded by the building.
We were on the 6th floor, and the walls were slanted at places reducing the usable space. Our window looked out onto the swimming pool, however the window was so dirty you could barely see through it. There are shutters over the windows, so that cut out some light that came in during the morning but not all of it.
Hanging space good (no shelves). The power of the shower was poor, and it took several minutes for the water to be warm enough to stand under.
There are no shower facilities to use if you need to later in the day, if you have already checked out of your room.
Location
They did not do the room service until 5 pm and than it was too late , room was small and very expensive compared to the quality
The staff was exceptionally friendly. The room was cozy and comfortable. The pool and pool area were nice and relaxing.
I wasnt pleased with my additional charge due to I had to change from king size bed to double queen beds. Also, I had to change my room due to a bad odor and smell like bad sewage. I feel like due to the inconvenience of changing rooms I should have been compensated and not pay additional $30.
Great hotel, friendly staff, clean and perfect location
Nothing
The hotel was recently renovated and the room was in good condition. The problem was with hot water - we had none! After several calls and a visit to the front desk we had lukewarm water in the room. The mediocre service level and lack of hot water are reasons I’ll never stay at this hotel again.
First time to New Orleans the hotel is located in the French Quarter and is close to everything. The hotel is lovely, staff are friendly and we will definitely visit again.
Lovely hotel with a brilliant location, the major downside is the customer service was terrible.
I booked this for a works VIP holiday for 20 people and not only was it disorganised, but they did not solve any of the problems I raised to them on the first morning.
The showers had bugs in, breakfast service was slow and the staff were rude, 2 rooms were meant to have upgraded amenities in them which were put in the wrong room and not corrected when I informed staff, we got accused of being in the pool after hours (I assume as we were a large group), the tried to invoice us for breakfast that we had already paid for, one person walked into a room unblocking a toilet that had no issues (leading us to assume someone blocked it when cleaning it), the showers were cold and another person had money stole from their room whilst out for the day.
Overall, highly disapointing experience
Generous room but average bathroom, which was due an upgrade.
The pool area was great but it wasnt appreciated that the pool area would be privatised one day such that we couldnt use it!
Close proximity to everything, beautiful decor, great friendly staff
Really sub-standard rooms served at the same price as beautiful rooms and the staff (Director of Rooms Mr. Vogt included) kept telling us that's what we booked!!!! No one tried to fix the items broken either.
And what's with the exhaust fan timer in the bathroom set at 10 seconds??? Why do I need to dance in front of it every 10 seconds to keep the poop smell out. Sadistic setting I say
We were never made to feel welcome, the staff treated us like a burden.
I will never stay here again and will never recommend this property.
THE ONLY good thing in the hotel was Ron the concierge. Super helpful and pleasant
Excellent location French Quarter, near Bourbon Street. Also a lot to do close at walking distance including museums, jackson square, local stores, Cafe Du Monde, libraries. Best option to get there is via Uber, no need to worry regarding parking which is expensive in the area. Rooms are very nice. Hotel is clean, well kept and with an updated style while keeping their roots. It was a busy time, lots of weddings and things going on, I had an excellent time.
This is a very good hotel with an unmatched location in the French Quarter. Rooms are clean, staff is friendly. we stay here every year for Jazzfest
David the Bellman was awesome. He is the best in the business!
The location is great, the rooms, not so great. Don’t stay here if you really value your comfort. The hallways are reallllllly long and creepy.
Stayed here for jazz fest in a petite king. Pros: the staff is very friendly from front desk to concierge to housekeeping. The room was a reasonable price and since I was with friends who had their own rooms the small space was fine. The rooms have been somewhat updated and the bed was pretty comfortable. Pool is great. Warm and inviting.
cons: do not stay in room 452. the bathroom has a motion sensor that turns on a light and very noisy fan. every time i got up at night the light and noise were very annoying. and when i was taking a shower they would both turn off automatically so i had to wave my arm outside the shower or shower in the dark! The faucet was missing a filter so water sprayed all over. The hair dryer was all sticky with hair spray. Little things like the brass in the elevator looks like it has never been cleaned or polished so it looked pretty dirty. It was ok but I can’t say I will return. This is nowhere near what a 4 star hotel should be.
Rooms facing the street are very loud, especially during festival season. Other than that, the rooms were nice, clean, up to date, and we enjoyed staying in the room outside of the noise level!
I would like to compliment Officer Harrison of the Bourbon Orleans Hotel. I misplaced my jewel case during a stay at the hotel in April 2026. Though I have not yet found it, Officer Harrison conducted a thorough search, was reassuring, professional, and stayed in contact with me until his search concluded. It was determined that I did not leave it at the hotel. I truly appreciate his patience and cooperation in trying to locate my jewel case. Though I continue to search for the missing case, I am assured I did not leave it behind and it will turn up. (Hopefully!!)
We stayed in a balcony loft suite on the Orleans side of the building, the curtains and a little white noise did a great job drowning out any noise from bourbon. Hotel was clean and well maintained. The lobby was stunning! Very happy with our choice to stay here!
Side note, we didn’t have any real issues with hot water in room 305, occasionally we’d run the water for a bit along with the sink to get it hot. Mornings seemed to have the most hot water.
