Staff is great!
Pros:

Emelda has been wonderful. She gave us a great recommendation of a local bakery to get a last minute cake for a birthday which was a hit. Very helpful and accommodating. Jose was also very kind and helpful with room adjustments. My only wish is that there was more storage in the rooms!

A Great Boutique Hotel Right in the Middle of the Action
Pros:

Hotel Zoe is a fantastic place to stay if you want to be close to Fisherman’s Wharf without feeling like you’re in the middle of total chaos. The location makes it easy to walk to the waterfront, Pier 39, North Beach, and even over toward Ghirardelli Square.

What I like most is that it feels a little more stylish and intimate than a big convention-style hotel. It has that boutique feel while still being comfortable and very well located.

A few of us from The Green Cross always appreciate places in San Francisco that still feel welcoming and full of personality, and Hotel Zoe definitely fits that description. If you want a stay that puts you near a lot of the city’s biggest sights, this is a really solid choice.

2nd stay was even better!!
Pros:

Hotel Zoe is THE premier hotel in the Bay Area!

This was my family's 2nd time staying, and the hotel exceeded our previous stay (which we didn't think was possible)!

Every staff member went above and beyond to make us feel like VIP guests! This year we ate breakfast every morning, and the food was outstanding!

All of our requests were met promptly and with big smiles.

We can't wait to return soon!

Thank you Hotel Zoe for another stellar stay!

Good basic accommodation
Pros:

We stayed at Hotel Zoe near Fisherman's Wharf in August 2025 as a family of 3. After a very delayed and long flight from the UK we were underwhelmed when we checked in and accessed our room. Very small room for the 3 of us with the 2 double beds in it and quite dated in style, however, the beds were comfy and bedroom and bathroom all clean. We liked the complimentary coffees and smores to toast in the evening.

I would say that the area is very sketchy. It's close to Fisherman's Wharf but this area is very run down with a lot of homeless people walking around and average places to eat too. We didn't want to walk around the area after dark but in the day it felt ok.

Avoid
Pros:

Went with my family, emailed before arrival for a toddler bed, this couldn’t be provided on arrival, no sleep, shower didn’t work at all, couldn’t shower or bath the kids, phoned reception and they left us on hold for 25 minutes, I went down and caught the guy just standing around and ignoring my wife on the call, would not recommend this place. Emailed Chris the manager and got no reply
