Lovely euro feel hotel, great UWS location central to museums parks neighborhood restaurants and stores - this is our 4th visit to this hotel and what makes it truly wonderful is the entire staff - friendly knowledgeable - more than accommodating. Special accolades to Maria Benedit - a most warm wonderful gracious concierge - she is the best!
See you again soon.
Spacious, comfortable room with wraparound views of Broadway! Super soundproofing - almost no street noise. Staff were exceptionally welcoming and attentive, especially Sean and Maria at the front desk! Breakfast vouchers for the bakery/cafe next door were plentiful, though the lines were long. Ideal location for exploring the Upper West Side, with a subway stop just two blocks away.
Once again this hotel didn’t disappoint. I can’t give enough praise to Maria and Benedict for super smiles and great customer service. We are loyalists and highly recommend.
Exceptional in every respect: front desk, maintenance, housekeeping, bell service. The efficient pastry shop attached is perfect for us. This was our second time and will not be the last.
We loved our stay at Hotel Belleclaire! Naomi at the front desk was wonderful and welcoming, and the doorman and bellhop were also very friendly and attentive. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and the water pressure in the shower was as good as it gets. I would gladly stay here again!
Maria Maria Maria! The front desk clerk Maria made my 5-day stay so much more than I could have hoped for. The entire staff- but especially Maria for her professionalism, friendliness, and personal attention was so appreciated. Johnny the doorman is also so great. I dedicated a star bc the room had some chipped tiles and peeling paint (paid for a 4 star..). So glad I visited again!
First time staying at Belleclaire and would totally come again! Naomi and Shanies were so welcoming and helped us settle in. We loved our view of Broadway, and the fact that housekeeping freshened the room daily made a big difference in comfort. I would rate Mille-Feuille a 4.5/5, we had breakfast and coffee there daily. Doormen and other guests were also friendly!
Very pleased with the hotel. Super clean, great beds, pleasant staff and view rooms worth a small upgrade. A bit less central, more residential and relaxed than mid- or downtown options. Close to Central Park for walking to uptown museums, Lincoln Center and to subway lines to everywhere else. Fun perks with vouchers for the delicious and convenient French bakery - grab a croissant and coffee in the am or a rustic sandwich to go. Try one of the complimentary walking tours (even if you know the city, you’ll discover something new!). The serene bar with a nice antipasto spread at happy hour is a nice way to end a long day or cap an evening. I missed all of the free wine happy hours but another unexpected hospitable perk if you happen to be at one of the sister hotels at the right hour. I would definitely recommend a stay at Bellclaire as comfortable and reasonably priced for NYC (especially off season).
The front desk staff were truly wonderful, from Sean to Maria and Sharie, they were kind, helpful and available anytime as needed. ♡ I had support with my room card, and received my delivery promptly. So thankful for my time here and the amazing staff. Clean rooms were great as well.
I love this hotel! Every time I come back it’s like coming home. The staff are welcoming and friendly. The location is perfect. It’s quintessentially New York
The HB is a great place to stay in the upper west side; great location with lots of nice restaurants with the Beacon Theatre across the street (we went to a concert there)....nice to also stay out of the chaos that certain NYC neighborhoods have due to tourists, etc.......staff is wonderful, super friendly and helpful while the place is immaculately clean...love the "wine o'clock" happy hour and the gift certificates to the bakery... just highly recommend as everyone treats you like they are happy you chose their hotel versus many other NYC hotels that can't be bothered....
I love staying here. I feel like it's a nice safe haven from the hustle and bustle. The staff is incredible, and the location is perfect. You can have some peace and space to recharge, and the rooms are very clean and perfect for staying solo. I always enjoy my stay here!
Great hotel on the upper west side. Room was spacious and clean.
The staff, in particular Shanies, were pleasant and very accommodating. Shanies upgraded our room to a two bedroom because the original room smelled of smoke.
I highly recommend this hotel.
We have been going to the charming Belleclaire for years, and wouldn’t stay anywhere else in NYC. During our latest visit, we were greeted at the desk by the lovely Shanies and Naomi, who upgraded us to a suite on a Saturday night. There is not a bad room in the place but this was pretty sweet. The amenities and location are unbeatable.
The hotel was wonderful and we were very pleased with our stay. We would especially like to thank Shanies, Mark, and MArie for their attention and kindness. Everything was perfect.”
Very nice and stay at the hotel Belleclaire. The location is very convenient since it is two blocks from a subway stop. The room was small but adequate and the heating and water worked well. It was nice to have the voucher for breakfast at the French bakery. The price is paid for the room was excellent and well worth it for the stay at such a convenient location.
It was the most welcoming check-in experience I have ever had. Well done Shanies, Naomi and Mark.
It was an amazing experience, Naomi made us feel welcomed and arranged everything for the best also if one night wasn't scheduled.
She, Maria and Benedict have been so helpful during our staying, they are really amazing people
The Belleclaire continues to offer a first-class experience in a beautiful, boutique Art-Deco setting. Beginning with Benedict, who remembered us from our last stay, the entire staff is highly professional, welcoming, and helpful. Benedict was able to upgrade our room and everyone worked to accommodate room requests or special needs. The rooms are immaculate; they have been renovated and you’ll find they’ve retained the charm of the original design with all the modern comforts: wood floors, luxury robes and bedding, new tile in the bathroom, new heating and cooling systems. The complimentary breakfast is classic European: a small bakery next door serves delicious croissants, cinnamon rolls, or breakfast sandwiches. There are numerous diners and restaurants within walking distance to satisfy all prices and tastes. I was in town for operas; Lincoln Center is just 10 blocks away. Cabs are easy to hail, as this quaint Upper West Side area is not congested like Times Square. There is also very easy access to the subway and Central Park. Broadway is ten minutes away, but you’ll feel you’re in the “real” NYC, surrounded by brownstones on side streets. Come back for happy hour for cocktails and chef-prepared small plates if you’re looking for a light bite in the elegant lounge. You can expect a good night’s sleep in the quiet hotel on first-class beds with luxury linens. Everywhere you go, you’ll find the friendly staff, ready to make your stay even more enjoyable. I’ll continue to return, every time I visit. Laura M.
This was the best trip ever! Everyone was so amazing and very nice. I looked forward to greeting Edward every single night, he was the best!
