Quick but very enjoyable
Pros:

Location was fun, a lot of walking paths along the dock!

Location and the views. The room was large and comfortable.

Cons:

No room coffee maker in the room. Found out later coffee makers are provided upon request. Computers and printer were not functional in the Del Mar building. Had to go to main office to print boarding pass. Bathroom towels and wash cloths are located on a shelf in the shower so I had to remove all the towels so they wouldn't get wet when I took a shower. There is space above the toilet for a towel shelf.

Cons:

I was there for work with early mornings. That caused some inconvenience. Coffee and breakfast were not available until 7am. Coffee machines are not in rooms, but there are fancy ones in the building common areas with good coffee, but only 7-10am! So, I had to ask for a coffee maker in my room, which was provided. Point being, hotel schedule more focused on vacation goers then business trips.

Valentine’s Escape at Island Palms
Pros:

Island Palms is a magical resort set between the marina and San Diego Harbor. Walked along the paths every morning Loved sipping wine on the our patio while watching the seagulls, pelicans, and seals. Enjoyed breakfast on the Blu Wave deck everyday, and treated local friends to Island Palms Valentine’s dinner and bought Valentine’s bouquets at their farmer’s market. Perfect place to spend Valentine’s Day, or any day with a loved one.
