Charming classic building where everything works!
Pros:

I have a soft spot for old, classic constructions, but I often find myself in such buildings, annoyed by things big and small that don’t work.

That is NOT the case here.

This hotel is absolutely faithful to San Francisco history, yet every little detail is fully functional and properly maintained.

It’s refreshing to find such an authentic piece of history alive, well and in full health!

What’s not to like?
Pros:

Stayed here for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The staff were polite and attentive, the room was spotless and spacious, and the bed was really comfortable.
Close to everything, I would definitely recommend it.

Tolle Lage, Kaffee und Cookies kostenlos erhältlich. Freundliches Personal. Blitz sauber. Das Hotel ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, dafür hat es tolle Betten. Wir würden wieder dort buchen.

Pros:

Great budget choice in an excellent location. The tram stops right in front of the hotel, which made exploring the rest of San Francisco really easy. The lobby offers unlimited coffee, water, and fresh apples, a small touch that makes a real difference. The bathroom was well equipped with all amenities and a cute rubber duck left as a welcome detail. Staff were professional and kind throughout. At around 100 to 120 USD per night, great value for the location.

Cons:

The room had no proper ventilation, only a ceiling fan, and no proper window I could use. At first glance the room looked clean, but when I drew back the curtains in the daylight the next day they were thick with dust.
