Muy lindo
Nice breakfast. Good communication with front staff.
My tween daughters and I did an overnight in DC and the Normandy was beyond all expectations. Safe, clean, and comfortable, it’s located in a lovely neighborhood that’s walkable both to the shops and restaurants of DuPont Circle and the National Zoo. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast room was stocked with healthy options. The extra fee for valet parking is well worth it. We loved our stay!
Amazing service and amenities. My favorite part was the chess board haha. Would stay again!
Very nice place to stay. Great location easy access to the metro. The thermostat is set at 76 which is OK but would have preferred to set my own temperature.
I booked this hotel because the main conference hotel was booked and have no regrets! Room was comfortable. My favorite was the wine hour at 5 o’clock. All the staff was very friendly, they let me borrow a large umbrella when it was raining one day!
Good location, in the DuPont Circle.
I had a wonderful experience at the Normandy hotel! The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. The room was clean and air conditioned, and the hotel has a calm and peaceful atmosphere. Loved the pass to Gold's gym as well as the happy hour + breakfast. Would definitely stay here again!
Everything is great.
Kierra Was such an amazing host and very helpful!
Well organized, very easy check in and check out. Kathleen Curtis doe a great job of making sure all goes smoothly, and is one of the reasons we stay there.
Awful water pressure for Showers, incredibly basic Breakfast service, no free water in rooms-only water bottle refillers on select floors
Paid for room through Expedia. Arrived only to be treated by the black staff as if I ( a person of color was going to steal something or didn’t belong. Maybe my Dukes of Hazard Confederate tattoo. But nonetheless, as a lawyer this was very noticeable but ignored it. Then she tried to create a Black conversation that she went to an HBCU. I don’t know what an iHBCU is. I graduated from GWU ironically. The next morning, with the Normandy advertising as a pet friendly hotel take my 14 week old puppy (Yorkie) outside in the concrete courtyard. Where there’s no signage for papers or where they can be accommodated during stay and there was none. Every guest at least asked, pleaded or simply came over to inquire about the pup and pet her. Kathleen the manager who’d just arrived Saturday morning July 11, 2026@0945 hours. She proceeds outside and scolds me about letting a 14 week old puppy walk a little in a petfriemdly hotel courtyard, the only outside sitting area. I was offended but decided to just leave. But then as a man, a responsible American, a lawyer, a Veteran something needed to be said. I packed and upon return to the front desk to checkout I simply explained to Kathleen. That I was offended that she chose what she felt rather than working out amicable solution. Kathleen proceed to tell me I had right to express or feel and told me to leave. It got so intense the African bouncer/door man approached me as if to he was going to to physically put me out. I had to demand the DC police 👮 be called. Officer arrived and just as I expected, no crime and was thankful that I didn’t escalate the situation with the doorman bouncer. Why did the patron/ guest have to request the police be called.? Miss Kathleen just wanted to have the bouncer escort me out. Someone please address this I’m sure the Normandy Hotel doesn’t know it has racist working for them African American and Caucasian. What is Washington DC really about? I guess for Kathleen to tell her narrative.
