Very friendly staff. Lovely room that was clean and well furnished. Very comfortable bed.
The shower was very small. The valet parking was efficient but expensive.
Nice location and building was nice
No greetings.
I must say the stay was great! Amazing food, vibes, and service! Huge shout out to Vicky at the front desk for her amazing hospitality and helpful advice! (:
I’ve stayed at multiple Graduate hotels, they are actually one of my favorite branded hotels. This one like the others typically has higher end finishes and are nicely decorated for less of a hotel feel and more of a homey feel.
This particular location seemed slightly less cared for than others I’ve stayed in. It was Memorial Day weekend and we (like other guests) were in town for a tournament-so the hotel was fully booked. But there was trash in the lobby from kids playing in the game area, adults loudly gathered in the front area, the hotel lobby/check-in wasn’t a large area so I think it just felt crowded and cramped every-time I was down there. Valet area is also small so that gets crowded too-valet hustled though so kudos to them.
While very specific to our stay-our room 1005 upon entering smelled like someone had smoked two packs of cigarettes in the room with windows closed. I went downstairs immediately to see if we could switch rooms but due to being at full capacity they could not move us unless our family split up and I was not putting a minor child in a room alone. They were kind and offered to bring a machine in to help try to fix the smell but I can’t imagine that would help too much.
A few more items to note, the bathroom was TINY. Like a closet. If you are someone tall, headspace may be an issue. The TV has 38 channels-good luck finding much to watch. Surprising that this day and age, in a nice hotel they don’t have any smart TVs to connect to any streaming apps. I’m not typically a TV snob but I feel like for the price, upgraded TVs aren’t too far of a reach.
All in all it wasn’t terrible, but I likely wouldn’t stay again.
Location and decor
They don’t mention the pet fee anywhere when booking. So to have a 75$ fee sprung on you at check in was quite unpleasant.
Cherelle was great! We sat in the bar for a few cocktails. She got creative and created a cocktail just for me and engaged in conversation. I highly recommend booking a stay in you’re in the Richmond area.
Cherelle at the bar in the Graduate Hotel was absolutely amazing! She brought such a fun and welcoming energy to the atmosphere and made the entire experience memorable. She even created a custom cocktail for my boss that was hands down one of the best drinks I’ve ever had. You can tell she truly loves what she does and goes above and beyond for her guests. If you’re at the Graduate, definitely stop by and see Cherelle!
This is the perfect Hilton for exploring Richmond. The rooms are thoughtfully decorated and very comfortable, but the highlight of this property was definitely the location! A short walk from both the Virginia State Capitol, Belle Isle, and all of my favorite restaurants and shops around the campus of VCU.
I’d especially like to shout-out Destiny at the front, she welcomed me smiling and made me feel very appreciated throughout my entire stay. That first impression meant a lot!
Macy at Byrdhouse was also exceptional and helped me order the perfect meal to enjoy a lovely sunset on the rooftop!
I am eager to return, 5/5!
Not much
Bartenders that did not know how to mix a drink.
Limited wine selection.
Room service that never shows up.
Dangerous stairwell.
Hidden fee's. The room was definitely not worth the money. Will not be back.
So comfy, great vibe, great costumer service, especially from Keisha at the Front Desk. I would definitely come back
