Great place!
Pros:

We went for the Catlin Gable annual Gala! We had a great time .the convention center was wonderful and the accommodations were excellent.

Business conference at The Sentinel
Pros:

The Sentinel hotel is a lovely, comfortable hotel in downtown Portland. The preservation of the original architecture mixed with modern luxuries is perfect. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The bed was extremely comfortable, the work & conference space was nice and the food was very good.

A pleasant surprise with excellent hospitality in downtown Portland
Pros:

We were pleasantly surprised not only with the boutique feel of the hotel, but also with the consistently high level of customer service and friendliness – very uncommon these days. It started with our late night arrival and reading by the friendly night manager (Elmer) who did everything possible to make a late arrival pleasant. The historic opulence of the lobby was a pleasant welcome every time we returned. Highly recommend.

Charming hotel, friendly team
Pros:

We really enjoyed the king parlor suite. Lots of room and natural light. Plus everyone who works here is delightful and helpful. The hotel decor is charming. I especially loved the boxing bag in the safe of the converted gym.

I like the convenience of the tea and coffee in the lobby.

I would have preferred some ceiling lights with light switches but the lamps were fine.

Very nice experience!
Pros:

We were very pleased with our check in, our room was very comfortable and had many nice amenities including cotton robes and a fireplace :) We heard no noise. It is wonderful to be adjoining to Jake’s Grill and we were given a coupon for an appetizer from the hotel front desk! We will definitely visit again and would highly recommend the hotel to anyone needing or wanting to stay downtown Portland!

Amazing location and a room with a fireplace. We had fun!
Pros:

We thoroughly enjoyed the location of The Sentinel, ate at nearby and in hotel restaurants. It is an easy walk to Powell’s bookstore and train stops. And we especially loved having a corner room with a fireplace!

Great location downtown!
Pros:

First off, great location in downtown Portland area.
Attentive staff starting with the valet, to front desk, the bars (decent happy hour in Jake’s Grill) and restaurant. All make you feel very welcome.

Exceptional Hotel - highly recommended

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the Sentinel Hotel. It is centrally located and is close to many fine restaurants and attractions. As a Hilton Diamond member, I received a room upgrade that was very much appreciated. The hotel and staff were top notch and we could not have enjoyed our stay more. The rooms were spacious and we loved the interior design. There were plenty of nooks and alcoves with chairs that provided space to relax and unwind.

Romantic Getaway
Pros:

Had a fabulous Valentines weekend at the Sentinel. Loved the wine tasting and thoroughly enjoyed Fortune. This hotel was the perfect location, just a short walk to the Winter Lights Festival and the Old Church for a candlight concert.
