Breath taking
Great
Excellent attentive staff. Everyone was so courteous and willing to assist. The room was beautiful and everything was high quality and up to date, but still period looking to fit the age of the inn. We had a king room and it was so spacious with plenty of seating and an amazing view. The shower in the bathroom was incredible.
The scenery
Inhospitable
Spectacular, unique, beautiful setting. Wonderful history. great setting.
Staff were all helpful, professional, responsive. Special thanks to the concierge, Lydia. Would recommend Asheville and the Omni Grove Park Inn to all !
Grove Park Inn is an incredible blend of history and hospitality. Built in 1913, the property is rich with character and stunning mountain views that make it feel truly special.
What stands out most is the staff—professional, friendly, and always going above and beyond to make your stay memorable. The level of service and attention to detail keeps you wanting to come back. Highly
The Grove Park Inn is an experience like no other. It is meticulously maintained, historic and beautiful and the staff is extremely kind, responsive, attentive and friendly. The room was updated appropriately to maintain the original charm of the Inn. The main doors were thrown open early in the morning allowing a cool June mountain breeze to flow through. The spa boasts a limited number of guests per day, yet it was late afternoon before a chaise was available for relaxation. The Poke bowl and the black rice bowl from the spa cafe were both excellent; tasty, fresh and plentiful.
This is a beautiful hotel, but starting to show its age in places. For example, some of the carpeting is separating at the seams in multiple locations. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Still, I have stayed in 2-star hotels with rooms that were just as nice.
They do a good job of keeping it quiet at night, so we slept really well. One annoyance is that the shower is designed such that it is practically impossible to turn it on without getting blasted with cold water. There is no way to access the knobs without getting into the shower, and the shower-head can only be deflected so far. The restaurants are nice, but overpriced. The parking is ridiculously expensive, regardless of whether you get valet parking or self-parking. The spa is booked up for months in advance, which no one told us until we arrived. You might get lucky if you go to the spa early in the morning and snag a cancellation. The fitness center is magnificent. The staff was very good, as would be expected in a hotel of this type.
Beautiful mountain resort with stunning views and great golf course. A bit costly, but probably nothing like it in the area. I understand their spa is great.
This was an amazing experience. Both myself and my Husband had a great time enjoying the wonderful food and relaxing. The Staff was very helpful and professional.
Came to this resort by request of my son and daughter in law as an across country meeting place. It's a lovely hotel rich with history. It's very busy and bustling with people. We had a lot of fun here. The club lounge was our favorite- shout out to Kristie and Tim who went above and beyond for us. Loved Kristie's banter with my husband- she's soooo funny! Christine at check in was the best! We also loved the piano bar. The little village shops and car museum were fun to see. Would stay here again.
I usually go to the Biltmore but decided to try something new and overall I wasn't disappointed. The hotel and grounds are beautiful. We spent most of our time at the spa and I included a massage because it was my birthday. The only complaint is the breakfast was terrible it doesn't even come close to the Biltmore even though it was twice as expensive to stay there. The spa experience makes up for a lot but I will admit I am close enough that I would opt for the spa and nix overnight if booking wasn't a requirement.
We continue to return to the Grove Park Inn, year after year and each time find something new and different to enjoy. However, the common thread through each of these visits is the attention to detail in hospitality and service. Each interaction is meaningful and intentional and kind for which we are eternally grateful.
My husband and I were gifted a stay at Omni by my aunt and uncle as a wedding gift. Wow, this was the most luxurious and beautiful gift! We stayed for 2 nights and explored most of the bars and restaurants. Since it was a wedding gift, the staff had complimentary desserts and bottles of wine for us during our stay. So thoughtful! The lobby really was our favorite atmosphere. We loved the large fire places and the live music! There was a 3 piece band- piano, cocktail drum kit and a stand up bass plus vocals. They were absolutely incredible- we loved enjoying drinks while listening to them in such a gorgeous atmosphere! I have been telling all my friends and family to experience Omni at least once in their lives!
You have to remember this is an old hotel before you enter your room. We were in the lodge and it was old-old furnishings, tiny bath and linens needed an update. No shower gel but nice Nest products. I expected better for what we paid per night. The spa did not disappoint nor did the restaurants. I do think management should take another look at the rooms and spruce them up.
This stay has been so disappointing. I had always wanted to come here and my chance came when a family wedding was being held here. I checked in yesterday. Prior to my arrival the hotel sent numerous communications that scaffolding is up in parts of the hotel. I was given my room and it was on the ground floor of the hotel looking directly at a wall. The scaffolding was indeed there coupled with wire mesh netting attached to the scaffolding. I called the front desk and told them I refused to stay in this room. I was offered a room 2 stories above but was told it too had scaffolding. I refused. I was then offered a room with the caveat that this room overlooked a loading dock. At this point I demanded to speak to the manager. Well that did the trick as I was moved to a room without scaffolding overlooking a relatively nice view. I just returned to my room at 4 p,m to get ready to go to the wedding only to find out that my room had not been cleaned. Seriously? I would never consider staying here again.
The lobby and the views outside were beautiful.
The rooms were not in great condition. The room had windows that were covered by loose screens and cracked wood, just in bad condition. Also, the air conditioning did not work in my room. We called the front desk and they sent an engineer who was not able to fix it, so we were offered to to stay in another room, which we did. The AC worked in that room thankfully, but it was a little smaller and not totally clean.
