Didn’t have no soap to bath with no toothpaste and when I call they gonna say I have to come down that’s crazy

Relatively convenient to Skokie where I was visiting.
The room smelled awful and dirty. Don’t know if it was unclean, musty, or the result of the fact that they let dogs stay there, but the smell was terrible. Lots of unrepaired dings in the walls and other things. Towels had hair on them that was not mine. Staff was unhelpful and not at all friendly. Breakfast was terrible. Even though there were signs outside, saying not to smoke near the entrance, there were always people outside, smoking right near the front door. It was also not very secure and felt unsafe - walking in late at night. the doors were wide open and no staff was there at all. Anyone could walk in into whatever they wanted. And I don’t know if this is also used as a subsidized rental or what, but a lot of the guests seemed kind of sketchy.
There should be ice available. Also a coffee machine with complementary coffee in the room. I paid $535 for 2 nights and had to leave my room both mornings just to get coffee
The front desk person was nice
The place is run down, the sink was cracked and moldy. There were people smoking directly at the entrance. I didn’t feel safe.
It was the cheapest in the area but more expensive then hotels I've paid for in other states.
When I asked for room to be cleaned on day 2, the lady basically said no.
One of the front desk ladies was rude and passed us off to the next lady. Who was very helpful.a young African American lady, she gets 5 stars 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
The room had high ceilings. The room was remarkably quiet despite being right next to a busy highway. The staff was very nice.
The hallway and back entrance were filthy. I thought the cleaning crew on Monday morning would help the situation but the trash bin was overflowing on the east doorway, dirt and debris was all over the stairwell, and garbage was in the resident hallway on the first floor. Also, a creepy van with the air running was in the east parking area for over 24 hours (someone was sleeping in the vehicle). For Skokie, IL I expected much better.
Do not get a room with a kitchen. They are usually cheaper, but they smell.
It is good for someone running on a budget
The staff are very un-courteous. Including the supervisor. I see element of profiling in the way they handle guests
The manager was very kind, But the overall hotel experience was poor.
The hallway carpet was nasty. The trash around the hotel was disgusting!
