Das einzig Positive an diesem Aufenthalt ist die wunderschöne Lage des Lancemore Lindenderry Red Hill, eingebettet in malerische Weinberge und mit einem kleinen See auf dem Anwesen. Die Umgebung ist traumhaft – umso enttäuschender ist der Zustand des ursprünglich wunderschönen Anwesens.
Eine absolute Enttäuschung – niemals 5 Sterne!
Statt eines Hauses, das dem Anspruch eines 5-Sterne-Hotels gerecht wird, erwartet einen eine erschreckend heruntergekommene und offensichtlich vernachlässigte Unterkunft. Abblätternde Farbe, verwittertes Holz, Staub und Schmutz vermitteln einen insgesamt ungepflegten Eindruck. Auch die Sauberkeit unseres Zimmers ließ sehr zu wünschen übrig – von einem angemessenen Reinigungsstandard kann hier keine Rede sein.
Besonders enttäuschend war unser Zimmer im Untergeschoss. Der Zugang und die Atmosphäre vermittelten eher das Gefühl, in einem Keller untergebracht zu sein, als in einem gehobenen Hotel. Wir waren bei der Ankunft regelrecht geschockt – gerade angesichts der hohen Übernachtungspreise und der Erwartungen, die man an ein Haus dieser Kategorie hat.
Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist aus unserer Sicht völlig inakzeptabel. Die traumhafte Lage kann den mangelhaften Zustand des Anwesens und die enttäuschende Sauberkeit in keiner Weise ausgleichen. Hier klaffen Anspruch und Wirklichkeit weit auseinander.
Wir hatten uns auf einen besonderen Aufenthalt in einem stilvollen, gepflegten Haus gefreut und wurden bitter enttäuscht. Für uns definitiv nie wieder – absolut nicht empfehlenswert!
Breakfast has good selection. Staff were friendly. Ricotta pancakes were excellent.
We had the room that opened out to the backyard garden. There were 2 patio chairs with no cushions and a small stool. Floor was absolutely filthy with trash laying around. Room looks tired and dirty; no slippers, I had to wear my shoes to walk around. Bathroom is decent but overall the cabinetries are of lower quality. TV not working although I had the security looked at it but he did not managed to fix it. Internet wi-fi was so laggy I had to resort to my roaming. The host did not even offer any compensation as I told them. We chose to leave even though the property refused to our request for refund for the 2nd night. We have stayed all over the world in all kinds of hotels and this property is absolutely not worth the amount they charged. The only consolation is the friendly staff at the breakfast.

We had such a wonderful stay at this beautiful winery. The surroundings were absolutely stunning and peaceful, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind. The food was delicious, the wine was excellent, and the whole experience felt warm and comfortable. We truly enjoyed our time here and would definitely love to come back again!
