La magnifique chambre avec bow window
A lovely hotel with very attentive staff. We would definitely stay there again. The car park is a real asset in the middle of Oxford. If you go there make sure you get clear car park directions from the staff - Oxford is now a driver's nightmare.
Loved the feeling of being personally looked after. Loved the location. Loved the comfort of the room.
The weather!
Posizione perfetta per visitare il centro e disponibilità di parcheggio in loco ottima!
The staff were amazing at The Old Bank Hotel. Made us feel very welcome from setting a sign to reserve a parking space to the personal touches throughout our stay. This includes writing a personal note congratulating us on our 20th wedding anniversary.
The room was spotless and the attention to detail was amazing.
The view to the University Church of St Mary's to the front was stunning.
Being central location, and an old building (which I assume is listed), it is busy on the main street to the front of the hotel. Vehicle noise (buses, taxi's etc.) and pedestrians returning passing by in the early hours after a good night were heard. I have to emphasis this is not the hotels fault but if you wish for a quite evening then ask for a room not overlooking the main road to the front of the hotel.
I have just returned from a wonderful weekend at the Old Bank Hotel. I couldn't fault our stay at all. The staff are all extremely friendly and welcoming. The rooms are very well equipped , extremely clean and with beautiful views of St Mary's , the Rad Cam and All souls college. We had dinner one night at Quod and breakfast both mornings there. The food was delicious and I especially enjoyed the Cornish crab for breakfast. We will definitely be returning.
Great design and location
location
450 pounds per nigjt for a small mediocre room in a old hotel.
Wonderful customer service from start to finish. The room was well appointed, spotlessly clean and comfortable. Particularly liked the art work throughout the hotel. The lounge/library also a welcoming space. We had a delicious breakfast in Quod and the Cornish crab, avocado ,poached egg cooked breakfast was memorable.
Would definitely recommend this hotel. Its location is brilliant too.
Our first visit but not our last. I rarely give a perfect 5 but I really can't find any faults with the building or the staff. It all looked effortless - a sure sign of good planning.
Advice for future guests - take a small car. the entrance to the car park is interesting.
Wonderful hotel, perfectly situated in the heart of old Oxford. This hotel is beautifully renovated while keeping touches to its history, with luxurious appointments in the rooms and excellent service throughout. The rooms are extremely quiet. The associated restaurant, Quod, has excellent food and is extremely busy and vibrant during the evening sitting.
Location was excellent. Views were beautiful over the rooftops of Oxford. Bed was extremely confortable with lovely sheets and great smellies. Free parking was a bonus!
