This hotel checks all of the boxes. It is centrally located. It is a beautiful and well maintained property. Their staff is professional, friendly, and attentive. The food and beverage are delicious! I loved the beautiful and thoughtful bathroom design and desk with a mirror and makeup mirror. The bed and bath linens are luxurious. The TV is modern so you can cast streaming services from your phone. The room was quiet thanks to double glazed windows and traffic limitations in front of hotel. I loved the air conditioning to cool the room for sleeping. It was so comfortable.
I have no complaints.
Beautifully presented, spotlessly clean and super friendly and helpful staff. Location was perfect for all of the Oxford sights.
Mattress was on the firm side and may not suit everyone whilst rooms also come at quite a high price bracket which made it prohibitive for more than a 1 night stay.
I was upgraded and had a stunning room with views on the High. The staff were lovely.
It was excellent. Amazing night’s sleep, which I normally never have in hotels. Wonderful bed.
Excellent welcome at reception and car parking was reserved for us and free. Room was beautiful, very clean and excellent facilities. Breakfast was served from 7-11am and was of a very high standard with good choice. We really enjoyed the Library area where we sat, read the daily newspapers and had tea & coffee.
Great location
Location and staff.
Beds way too hard. And there was a weird machine noise in the night from outside which reverberated through the pillow. It was intermittent. We were in room 36.
The location and services
A bit pricey especially the restaurant.
Fantastic location with very friendly and helpful staff
Location. I’ve stayed here before. Lovely hotel. And great breakfast.
We were affected by poor guest behaviour in the study at the back who carried out Covid tests and left all the testing kits on the table next to us. Really gross. We felt that the hotel knew the guest and his clients and hadn’t facilitated their activities as they should have done, so as not to affect other guests. It was sorted out but after we had made a huge fuss. Not a great experience.
My room was cold and had a quite damp smell and feeling when I checked into it.
It did warm up once the heating was on but this room should have been prepared and aired properly first.
Great location
Service at breakfast very pleasant but a little slow
Staff exceptional, service exceptional, location exceptional, hotel beautiful, room [classic double] was beautiful, bed very comfortable, bathroom beautiful, breakfast amazing, staff couldn't' t do enough for you. It was my husband's birthday and there were complimentary cakes in the room on arrival also, very much appreciated.
I just wanted to mention again that however beautiful the hotel is, it is only as good as the staff that work there and ALL staff at this hotel go above and beyond to make your stay an enjoyable one. We will definitely be returning. Thank you
Gorgeous hotel. My wife and I have stayed here many times and the high standards we’ve come to expect from the Old Bank have never failed. Professional staff, excellent house keeping services, great restaurant.
