I walked in looked at the facility and the room and turned around. And asked for a cancellation of my stay. They confirmed that I would just be charged for the day but I would receive a refund for the rest of the days that were scheduled.
I have not received my refund.I am very upset about that. Also, the hotel is under construction and the people that are doing work on the hotel are living there. There's plastic sheeting and dust everywhere.
The breakfast was good, sadly they were out of orange juice, but had apple juice.
The fact that the hallways smelled of weed strongly, gave me a headache, not to mention my child was staying with me. The sheets and towels were stained, the pool was out of commission, the cable did not work, there was wall paper peeling away from the wall, beard hair all over the counter and sink, we found blood stains on the pillow cases, there was a huge crack in the ceiling above the shower head. The elevator which had mirrored walls was filled with smears and hand prints. And the bed was very uncomfortable. Sadly, I did not take any photos and I wish I had. We also saw lots of materials like they were in the process of renovating, which I hope they do.
Carpet was stained. Air conditioner was noisy. Hallway noise was obtrusive.
The room was perfect for our needs. Having traveled back and forth the small lounge was helpful, and relaxing. The kitchenette was a great addition and surprise! The size we got for the price was excellent.
Never a big fan of carpet due to never being extremely clean. The carpet was somewhat sticky and not very clean. The pillow selection was not terrible but not that good being small and not a great variety on firmness. The pool was going through maintenance so not fun one could not enjoy a dip in the pool after being outside for the majority of the day.
Room big.
No pool! No alarm clock,
Bed slept well.
When I arrived, I walked in a room that was not up to marriott's standards, and I knew it. The carpet was dirty, and the sofas should be thrown out. There was a crack in the artwork in the first room. When I walked in; it didn't look clean. For some reason, my room was changed to dbl beds. I asked to change rooms immediately and was out of the room within seconds and was charged an additional fee. They shouldn't charge anyone anything! It was a better room, but it was still tacky and they should be embarrassed to give someone a unit that looks like it does. The coding is off, as well. They really need to do some renovations to this hotel. It's dated!
The rooms were unkempt and te bathroom was filthy. Walls were damaged.
Location & staff were great other than that, we won't be staying here again.
The hotel room left MUCH to be desired, and for what we paid we could've stayed at another chain with a better room, I know because we were in Peoria 10 days prior.
The drapes, window heating/cooling device, ceiling, & floor were all stained with drops of some type of black substance.
The fixtures go back to late 1990's, the couch had a sunken in spot, the desk had a station to plug things in- that didn't attach to anything, and the tub, the bottom was covered with an I don't know what to stop you from seeing the rust.
Finally the smell, the smell was like a damp closet that hadn't been opened for a few years. When we came in the room was 78° in August & the cooling system was OFF! We turned it down to 68° and went out for dinner hoping the smell would clear and the room would be cool upon our return. The room only ever made it to 70°, but the smell- it was still there. We were to tired from traveling so we went to bed since it was only 1 night.
The breakfast was meh, Jimmy Dean things- that were warm- props to not having to nuke them yourself- cereal and bakery items. Zero decent protein offerings, not even Greek yogurt.
Luckily we were only there for 1 night- we won't be back.
If you do decide to stay refuse room 229.
