Old school charm.
Pros:

Fabulous location. Charming, old fashioned and unique. A refreshing change from bland, modern hotels. We had the four poster bedroom, very spacious and comfortable.

Cons:

It is quite dated, but that is part of it's charm.

Unique hotel full of character
Pros:

Warm, inviting and peaceful. Our turret room was spacious and and it was great to have, both a bathtub and separate shower.

Cons:

We liked it all. If breakfast could be pushed to 10am on a weekend that would be an added bonus ;)

Pros:

The man who ran breakfast was so lovely! I’m gluten intolerant and he had a gluten free breakfast prepared for me. I really appreciated the extra effort.

Cons:

More advice to guests rather than a criticism - the radiators can get extremely hot so just be careful.

It was a very pleasant overnight stay.
Pros:

Perfect location for us. Room was very comfortable. Breakfast was really good. Staff were very friendly and pleasant. Free parking is always good.

There was nothing we didn’t like. It was what we were looking for. We will definitely use the same place again.

Cons:

Breakfast was odd on Tuesday there was no buffet and on Wednesday there was. Had to go and find a chap and ask for a poached egg as nothing was offered.

No toiletries in bathroom - had to go into town and buy shower gel.

Upset to find out colleague had a much bigger and brighter room and paid around £50 less for her stay!
