Leisure facilities! I enjoyed the swimming pool, jacuzzi, gym, The person who was at the Reception of these facilities was a very pleasant young man. My friends are all planning to go to Nailcote after I told them my lovely getaway experience.
I thought I paid for bed and breakfast only to be told that was not the case. I am not sure if the mistake was on my part. In my mind I thought I chose and paid for bed and breakfast! Anyway, I had to pay breakfast separately and enjoyed my stay. Am planning to go back again soon!
The location is lovely and well kept. The atmosphere was very pleasant and warming. The room was very clean and beautiful. The value for money was reasonable. The noise level was good and everyone was respectful. The service was professional and friendly. The amenities were good and useful.
I came here on a solo trip to get out of my comfort zone and build confidence in doing these sort of experiences on my own. The swimming pool was lovely and the food was delightful. I felt comfortable and welcomed coming here, so I will definitely be coming again in the future.
Everything. Amazing place, amazing staff, breakfast ladies served with a smile to start your day making you feel happy. Rooms excellent.
Nothing
Olde world charm, super comfy bed, excellent breakfast included in the price, perfect !
Lovely old country house hotel with helpful friendly staff.
Our room was great, spacious with a really comfy bed.
We stayed for an event at the hotel which was also really good.
Shower over bath and only a fixed over head shower.
Spa facilities not as good as expected
De ligging
Geennkoffie en thee op de kamer wel roomservice voor dure koffie en thee
We stayed at Nailcote Hall Hotel and unfortunately the experience did not live up to expectations, especially given the price.
Our four-poster room was located in the newer building rather than the historic hall, which was disappointing from the outset. The room itself felt very dated and not particularly clean. The windows were dirty on the outside, with bird droppings and spider nests clearly visible. Inside, there were cobwebs, stained placemats, and furniture marked with water rings.
The layout and comfort of the room were also problematic. Curtains blocked the radiator, making the room cold. There were no proper blinds or suitable curtains, meaning you had to choose between complete darkness for privacy or having daylight while being fully visible to passing cars and people. The radiator was making a constant swooshing noise, and then in the middle of the night began making very loud noises. The bathroom was equally cold, even with the towel rail on.
There were several hygiene and practicality issues: one towel had a suspicious brown mark, only one set of toiletries was provided for two people, and the pillows were uncomfortably flat with no extras available. The shower was particularly frustrating, with a fixed head positioned in such a way that turning it on meant being blasted with freezing water. Washing hair properly was difficult. The hairdryers were outdated, fixed in awkward locations, and impractical to use.
The spa facilities, located in the same building, were confusing to access as check-in required walking past the pool. While the pool itself was a good size and the jacuzzi was decent, the surrounding area was very dirty. The changing rooms lacked privacy, and due to the layout and mirrors, you could easily be seen while changing. Overall, the spa area felt grubby and poorly maintained, and the staff appeared very young and inexperienced.
There was also an event taking place in the building that went on until 1am, and the noise from the music was clearly audible from our room. We were informed at check-in that it was happening and that it shouldn’t be too noisy, but this was not the case.
The car park was also in poor condition, full of potholes and crowded with golfers’ cars. This meant we had to park further away, which wasn’t ideal when carrying luggage.
Considering the high price of the stay, and the fact that breakfast was not even included, the overall value was very poor. Sadly, this was a disappointing experience, and we would not return.
This is a repeat visit - historic house, comfortable rooms, great swimming pool. Perfect location in countryside by close to Warwick University. Staff are friendly and helpful. Good food.
Wedding and large parties can be noisy - if bothered ask for a quiet room.
A beautiful & spacious bedroom . Clean & comfortable although bathroom fittings well used.
Excellent breakfast & delightful staff..
Had to get help to get shower right temperature.
Staff, environment, location. Staff especially are always smiling, and very helpful both on reception and especially the restaurant. Quality of food excellent. Location of hotel suits our needs.
Outside room tended to be quite noisy at times.
Classic and vintage property. Very cozy and historical too. The room was very comfortable and was all very clean. The swimming pool and jacuzzi are absolutely lovely!! The golf area is beautiful, we enjoyed that. Property is baby friendly. Breakfast very nice (there’s pastries and you can choose an option from the menu too).
The restaurant is very nice but for the price I don’t think was anything special to be honest, I don’t think I would be back again to the restaurant for a dinner. The staff was lovely though, they brought a piece of cake with a candle in our room for my husband’s birthday.
Great location, near enough and far enough from the city.
Lovely quiet room with views out to the golf course. Comfortable bed and chairs. The bathroom was very nice too.
Swimming pool was a real treat with very warm water and not too chlorinated. Open 7am-9pm!
Generous tasty breakfast served with a smile.
The drive badly needs attention but it forces drivers to go slowly which is probably a good thing.
Guests should be aware that the walls are rather thin so sound will travel from other rooms. Better on our second night as a particularly loud guest had gone home.
The water tank was directly above our room which some people might find
Guests should be aware to take flip flops or similar for the uneven floor at the pool.
We have been here a few times and it never disappoints great room clean and comfortable and,the swimming pool , steam room area was a bonus .The evening entertainment was very good ,food was delicious and well presented , the dj (franco)kept everyone dancing all-night The owners Rick and sue were fabulous hosts.
