Countryside location. Comfortable bed.
Potholes in the driveway and car park. Although our room was quiet (as asked ), it was a long walk and 2 flights of stairs from the main house. We stayed 3 nights and there was a good buffet breakfast for 2 days with pleasant staff but the other day was a very rushed, badly cooked and slightly aggressive waitress served breakfast.
The bar area was very busy on the event nights which we were not attending.
Good facility , excellent staff, excellent food
Staff- food-rooms
The location was good and the staff were very friendly.
The lack of air conditioning, I was put in a room next to the wedding marquee and I wasn’t in the wedding party. Spent the whole night having to listen to the music as if the speaker was in my room.
Staff were fab. Great family of 23 gatheing.
We will be back.
Toliet flush problem. Old building
Unique, as clean as can be for period property
No easy link to pool, had to go outside from main hotel. Bar is in odd spot if wanting to sit outside. Over priced drinks
The beds were comfortable and it was nice that there were two chairs in the room.I asked for a accessible room which we had there was a small terrace outside our room with outside chairs and table which we used. The staff were all nice and friendly.
I had requested a accessible quite room, the room was on the ground floor with a bathroom that had a low level sink and bars to assist with getting in the shower which was over a quite high bath.,not ideal if you have mobility problems. As far as a quite room was concerned our room faced the back of a marquee that was used for events and on the Saturday it had a band playing until 1am. We were aware of the event and had informed the hotel that we were not attending this. Breakfast on Saturday was served and over cooked,on Sunday it was a buffet style and much nicer.Overale the hotel was O.K but more questions needed to be asked when booking.
The location and food. Staff were great.
The property was not very clean. Especially our room: the carpet / bathroom floor had lots of crumbs / hairs. There were two iron burn marks On the carpet in the bedroom. There were marks and stains on the bedding. Cobwebs and spiders everywhere. The toilet seat was stained yellow and the toilet brush had dry toilet paper all over it. Very very disappointing.
The location is beautiful, rooms were clean and the shower was great. Food in the evening was lovely and so was the breakfast. The cat onsite was friendly too.
The 'bar' man when we arrived didn't acknowledge us standing at the bar for at least 10 minutes. There was only 1 other person in the bar at the time. He took a very long time making their cocktail, but couldn't even give us a smile or say, I'll be with you shortly. I thought this was very rude.
Charming building nested in a golf course.
While the outside has certainly some charme, the inside could benefit from freshening up. Our room was musty.
Nice location intern country
A little tired and dated decor carpets a little marked I. Places.
Breakfast was good. Staff were friendly.
Bathroom needed more detailed attention from the cleaning staff.
Out in the country
Nothing
It was nice and quiet.the cooked breakfast was good
The room was disappointing compared to the photos. The menu was disappointing as very basic and overpriced for what it was
Helpful staff.
Nice breakfast.
Swimming pool was the perfect temperature - not cold!
Didn't seem busy or overcrowded.
Didn't realise there's a 'nightclub' at the property with events on both nights we stayed, but staff helped with the noise issue and overall didn't really impact on us other than getting off to sleep.
Some bits are a little tired maybe and would benefit from a paint touch up but it was clean and tidy.
There's not a huge amount of parking, especially on a weekend where a few more people go to just play golf and can't seem to park sensibly.
Breakfast ordered to our room the night before was nice. Ground and outside areas were well maintained.
Felt slightly dated inside. For example the guestbook in the room was peeling and needed replacing. Also the tech/digital facilities were basic and WiFi wasn’t great.
Great location good value. Best of all the staff they were great always.
Needs money spent on updating
Beautiful surroundings. Quiet rooms. Fantastic food in the evening. Beautiful dining room. Lovely jacuzzi and pool.
Piano Bar. Dog friendly.
Gym.
Excessive amount of duck faeces on the golf court.
No outside bins.
Breakfast to expensive for what was available. Very poor choice available.
Massive potholes the drive and carpark, very deep and very wide.
The room key card was not working on a daily basis and a trip to reception was necessary a few times per day to get it sorted.
No hooks in the bathroom.
Neglected outside planters.
Reception/main entry not sign posted/difficult to find.
Good location, bed was comfy and room was spacious. Pool is alright and gym was clean.
No hot water, weird set up for breakfast the staff in the morning were a little rude and very loud.
