NOTHING
The was horrible, I couldn’t sleep the bathroom tub has mold and rust. There was a dirty towel hanging from the shower. The room had a smell. Very old and ran down I don’t care how good or a deal they could give me I would NEVER come here again.
⭐ Extremely Detailed Review of Auburn Hills Extended Stay Inn (Oct 1–Oct 9 Stay)
My wife, our 7-month-old daughter, and I booked a King Deluxe Studio with Sofa Bed at Auburn Hills Extended Stay Inn through Expedia for 8 nights (October 1st – October 9th, 2025). We were looking forward to a comfortable stay, but unfortunately our experience was full of stress, poor communication, and repeated accusations that completely ruined our time there.

Check-In Experience (October 1st)
We arrived later than the official check-in time (around 5 PM instead of 3 PM). This wasn’t an issue for either side. The front desk routine was standard: I gave my ID, signed paperwork, and received our keys. So far, so good.
That evening, though, we already faced our first situation. My wife is pregnant, and as many people know, a pregnant woman’s sense of smell can be extremely sensitive. The room had a lingering odor that made her uncomfortable, so she lit one of her personal candles. Now, I understand that candles are technically against hotel regulations, but under the circumstances, it was carefully supervised, never left unattended, and only used to make her stay bearable. Because a candle naturally produces some smoke, we put a small bag over the smoke detector temporarily so it wouldn’t go off unnecessarily.

Day Two (October 2nd
Not taking away of what someone else experienced but my experience was pretty good here, the staff was amazing. Looking forward to visiting again
Absolutely nothing!! Didn’t even get the opportunity to step foot in the hotel.
The mere fact that if you book a room after 12am you cannot check in until 3pm the same day which was not made clear through the app, so I arrived at 2am and couldn’t check in til later that evening in which I didn’t need the room at that time(3pm) I had just got back in from out of town and just needed to rest my head. On top of that I couldn’t get a refund!!
I wasn’t expecting perfect but clean would have been good! The carpets had what looked to be gum or some other gross stuff stuck in them. The drawers looked like they had not been wiped out in quite sometime and windowsill was black and dirty. There is no breakfast like they advertised. Half the hotel is under construction. The staff was super friendly. Let me know after I was checked in about no more breakfast and that the key cards can’t be near electronics because they deactivate.
Arrived to check in and the desk clerk was outside the front door smoking marijuana with some people. Went inside and had to wait for employee to finish smoking. As i was getting checked in the desk clerk was talking about a guest that had a nice ass on her. Very unprofessional. Got my room on the second floor and they are renovating a sectuon of the hotel. There was garbage and debris all over the floors in the hallways. I literally had to walk around trash on the floor to get to my door. I layed down at 10 pm and could not sleep because the room above me had kids and they were jumping and making noise untill 3 in the morning. Went downstairs at 6:30 am to see what they had for breakfast which they had advertised. Locked myself out of my room and could not find the desk clerk. Finally walked into the room where they supposedly had breakfast. All the lights were off and when i walked in the desk clerk was sleeping on the couch with a blanket and was mad that i woke her up. She got up and made me a new key for my room. Came back down and the breakfast is literally a couple granola bars thrown on a tabel. Elecator has a white dry erase board inside it and someone smeared a bloody booger on it. I told the staff about this and 3 days later the blood smear is still there.
Parking was good. Hotel was not. It was very inexpensive though, so I should’ve guessed
The room was smelly but unfortunately, they were unable to move us to another room because the hotel was fully booked
The smell in my room. Smelled like pet. I asked the manager to call me but she never called
Bed was comfortable
Found half eaten food on floor next to bed and bottle of medicine on floor. Light in bathroom was dim and flickered and eventually went out and they could not replace bulb because no maintenance availab
The room was filthy, smelled horrible. Breakfast was non exsistent. Police were onsite more than once
Safe parking very comfortable cozy quiet
Dark and dingy.
Spiders dirty tubs dirty sheets and dirty comforters
Good deal
Parking was secure. AC worked. The room smelled great! But... no ice machine and the breakfast was granola bars.
No breakfast only snacks. No maid service all week. Had to get clean towels daily from the front desk. I think this was a residential hotel. Pealing paint, refrigerator ran 24/7 but never got cold. Their maintenance person never came to the room to look at it. Broken light switches. No ice machine. I do not recommend this hotel for anyone but a homeless person.
Good value
