The room was clean and close to where we were going.
The rooms and facility could be updated. Felt more like a motel vs. a hotel. We were missing our refrigerator.
The hotel is good for extended stay but we only booked a 1 night and did not expect much.
The breakfast is carry out. I did not find a lobby or area where I can eat.
The location was great, close to museums and shopping. More affordable than others which is great, but would not stay again.
Not clean. Overwhelming smell of must and smoke. Leftover food from last tenant. Floors and fridge were dirty and sticky. Facilities are very old. Toilet was tiny and wobbly and water was too high. Wouldn’t call it breakfast, but coffee and snacks.
The bed was clean but not comfortable the staff at the desk were really nice.
It smelled like methamphetamine in the hallway and marijuana in the elevators. The bathroom was dirty there were black hairs on the toilet and in the shower. I have never been to Kansas City before and pray to never go back. That’s not the hotels fault that the city is unsafe.
Cheap snacks and instant oatmeal only. The coffee and hot water were removed promptly at 9:30.
The “breakfast”
Lack of filtered drinking water
No hair dryer
Was decent
No warm food
Budget-friendly. Excellent spot. Great walk to my conference. Clean. Smooth. Kitchennette was very helpful.
The key card system was not working on the first day. But the next day they fixed it. The staff is super helpful. I had to wait long in the lobby as the receptionist was on the phone with another client.
This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel. There was about 6 people waiting when I arrived to check in. There was no one at the desk to help. Once someone showed up to the desk , we were told the system was down and was not given a key to our room. Having the front desk person have to personally unlock the door for you every time you left your room…there were homeless sitting on the floors in the hallway upon exiting the elevator. Our room was non-smoking & smelled like 20 years of smoke & like homeless were living there. There was no daily cleaning. Early in the morning we had some random person (not a worker) knocking on our door for about 5 mins before walking away. (We didn’t open the door)
Overall was the worst experience I’ve ever had with a hotel.
BEWARE OF COCKROACHES THEY WILL REFUSE TO ISSUE REFUND AT THE DISCOVERY OF BUGS IN YOUR ROOM AFTER CHECK IN. We were DENIED REFUND for an entire night paid for that we could not stay for due to discovery of COCKROACHES IN THE BEDROOM, BATHROOM, and KITCHEN. Night staff were very kind where as day staff were rude and lacking knowledge about how to handle situations with any hint of professionalism. This place is dirty and reeks of cigarettes. After finding multiple cockraoches in our room on the third floor 4/6/2025, I was forced to pack our room a day early, violently shaking out all of our items and packing up as quickly as possible to get my kiddo out of the bug ridden room. Upon going downstairs to return keys and ask about our refund for the night that we would not be staying, we were met with a combative, rude, argumentative non- management employee who claimed we would not be issued a refund due to being there after 3pm and that “when you sign upon check -in, you sign that being there after 3pm (check-in time on rooms) means you will be financially responsible for the entire night. When I told her we would need to discuss that with management then she very rudely tried stated that “management would tell me the exact same thing. Well that’s fine, we’ll be taking that up with management today still and next corperate. I did not sign anything stating agreement to stay in a room infested with cockroaches. Thank you. I’d like my $88 back now as we are mid transition from one home to another with child, and we can not afford to throw away money like that. Absolutely ridiculous.
Front desk was amazing. Walking distance to the plaza and Westport. Full kitchen in the room. We will definitely be coming back
The night manager was the best and really sweet
The way I had to pay double to stay a extra day due to my appointment wasn't good
I think the clerk is wonderful! Made us feel good when we were checking in!
Nothing
It had baby roaches.
This property should not be charging people to stay here until it is all renovated and fixed! Our first room had a rusted out shower and broken bathroom sink, it had a foul odor. The second room has a chipped up sink, toilet that is so low to the ground my 88 yr old mother could hardly get that low and back up, the door bracket on top fell off and the door became unstable and luckily my song was there to grab it and fix it, the refrigerator started making a loud noise in the night, the shower is filthy and the flooring/molding is all coming apart with rust in areas. The beds and pillows are not comfortable at all. The hotel is filthy overall from the time you walk in. When we go to our car there are trash barrels stored in the corridor full of trash that stink horribly. We are in KC celebrating my Mom’s 88th bday and we requested a view of the Plaza. This property claims it’s on the Plaza in description which it is not, nor are there any rooms with a Plaza view. The advertisement says there is a breakfast but fails to mention it’s not an actual sit down breakfast but is oatmeal but no bowls, granola bars and muffins grab and go style. My Mom is diabetic and this high carb option is not ideal. I feel the description of this property is very misleading and the condition of this hotel is not safe, sanitary and is completely unhealthy. I am very disappointed we came to celebrate a fabulous milestone for my Mom and Extended Stay had such a poor property with unsafe conditions.
Great location. Friendly and helpful staff. They gave us some good recommendations. Went to a seminar and spent much less than the surrounding hotels. Able to walk to some great areas. Checked out the museum in the off hours. It was amazing.
Maybe a little hall noise.
Common areas reeked of weed. Uncomfortable.
the bedroom smelled very bad
They were putting in new carpet in the hall way so I wasn't allowed to check in until over an hour after my reservation, then I was woken up at 8 am and told I needed to keep my door open so they could do the carpet in front of my room and was made to have my door open for almost 2 hours. I wanted my money back so I could go elsewhere and they refused they gave me a $24 refund!!!! I will never be going back to this place the staff was rude and very unprofessional
