Extended Stay America Suites - Orange County - Irvine Spectrum

This property was disgusting. That tub was black of all the dirt . The sheets smell and found the furniture was broken. This smell coming out of the room was disgusting. The staff was rude.

I was told by the management of the property that I could only extend my stay only one week at a time. If my work asks me to stay in the area a few more days then I would have to stay at another hotel. Not good!

Some walls were unpainted. There was primer on the walls. The pillows, sheets and bed comforter were very old
and were not comfortable. I was worried about bed bugs. I have had bumps on my arm since I stayed there. The bathtub leaked. There was no soap for showering or to wash my hands. The room was supposed to be non-smoking. There was a
residual smoking smell.

There was a coca roach running around HUGE and disturbing my gf and it was too much. It kept us up for a little and even when dead my gf couldn't sleep

Upon arrival, the man at front desk was rude and short. After I entered my room, phone and tv didn’t work and bathroom was dirty w hair . The man said he made work order and someone would come fix and clean . No one came for all 3 days there. Even after I went back to from office 2 times to ask about it. There were men walking around at all Hours of the night w dogs barking. Dog poop on the walk ways. The bottom of door frames and walls were eaten away and moldy and disgusting. Baseboards too. I have never stayed in a hotel where it was evident someone LIVED in there .

Absolutely horrible experience. I’m honestly shocked and very disappointed.
I booked this room in advance for two nights and paid the full amount. I had a confirmed reservation, and I even contacted them through the chat beforehand to let them know that I would be arriving late.
I arrived at the hotel around 2:00 AM, and the place was closed. There was a phone box with instructions saying to dial “0” for late check-in, so I called.
Someone answered the phone. I explained that I had a confirmed booking and was there to check in. The first thing he told me was that there was no check-in at that time. I asked him to please check my name and reservation confirmation number, but he just told me there was no information under my name or phone number.
Seriously?! How is that possible?
They had my email, my contact number, my booking information, and they had already taken my full payment. I had even informed them in advance that I would be arriving late. If there was any problem with my reservation or if late check-in was not possible, they should have contacted me in advance.
I would have had time to find another hotel. But what am I supposed to do at 2:00 AM when I’m standing outside with my luggage and being told that there is no booking and no check-in?
This is beyond disappointing. They took my money, sent me a confirmation, and then when I actually showed up, suddenly there was “no information” about my reservation.
I’m sharing this review because I really don’t want anyone else to go through what I’m going through right now. Please think twice before booking this place, especially if you’re arriving late at night.
For me, this has been an absolutely horrible experience and completely unacceptable service.

Charged me 150 more than what I was supposed to pay due to me not checking in before 12am but when I wanted to check in nobody was @ the office until after 12. Plus the room smelled badly like cigarettes bad hotel
