Homewood Suites by Hilton Newark Fremont

I ended up staying here last minute for a work trip. This hotel is amazing. The rooms were extremely clean, very spacious, safe and quiet.

They have a very nice outdoor area to relax with a happy hour. The staff was extremely friendly and cleaning staff did an outstanding job daily.

I would highly recommend staying here. If I’m in the area again, I will definitely stay here!!

The hotel is new and clean. Inexplicably, they chose in wall unit air conditioners like any roadside 2 star hotel I've been at. It was so loud I had to put the TV at almost full volume to hear it. I had ants, showed the cleaning lady, and they came and sprayed immediately. The breakfast bar was great, but the flow had zero thought put into it. Overall, a good hotel. In a pinch, I'd stay here again but not my first choice.

This hotel was perfect for our family getaway to the great San Francisco area. It was central to San Jose and San Francisco. The local area didn’t have a to. To offer but the site itself was great. We were looking for tons of local amenities - we wanted quiet at the end of a busy day and that’s exactly what we got.

The place is extremely clean - even the laundry room. (I am a bit of a clean nut, so kudos to the cleaning staff for doing an amazing job!!)

Front desk staff were wonderful and helpful.

The laundry room offers free soap, with $1 wash and $1 dry during our stay. Great option for families.

They offered a free breakfast with hot and cold options. Some more variety there would be great but it did the trick. (Eggs were always there, bacon one day, sausage varieties followed for the remaining days.) there a was waffle maker and cold cereals and apples/oranges as well as bread options, muffins, etc.

The two bedroom suite with a kitchen was great. It had the basic kitchen needs - we didn’t try to make meals, but it had a pot set and a fry pan. There were plates, cups and cutlery as well. The fridge had an ice maker in the freezer so no running to a machine in the hallway. There was no noise from other guests despite the hotel being full.

There was a tennis court with a basketball hoop as well as a small pool and hot tub. The pool and hot tub are lit inside in the dark which was nice. Free parking was a bonus! There’s also an outdoor sitting area with bbq’s and a fire table - great for family meals or game night. It is lit with patio lights in the evening. They also serve supper four nights a week - we can’t speak to the quality as we didn’t partake in that.

It is a bit of a drive to get places but well worth it as far as we were concerned!

On Saturday August 9 at 4am, I arrived to do a makeup service for a client. When i got to the hotel I noticed the doors were closed. The receptionist then tells me very aggressively that the hotel was closed and I showed her the address of the hotel and the schedueled appoinment I had. She then tells me that the the client had to come get me. My client did not know that they had to come get me and nor did I know that they had to come get me, this place is very new to me and my client. I had no problem calling my client. I was outside and I called my cilent to come get me, as I was calling my client the receptionist tells me I could wait inside and so i went inside and while i was on the phone with my client I was walking in a circle and the receptionist starts yelling at me very aggresively and signals with her hand to wait and stay still. I was not going to pass the lobby nor move to another place, I was simply walking in a cirle while on the phone. This of hers behavior is very unacceptable and no one, especially a worker should treat someone with such disrespect. The receptionist should have explained calmy what I had to do as someone who has never been to that hotel. I had to tell her to relax because I was not even being rude, I understood that the client had to get me but she started yelling really loud and not explaining anything calmly.

Great property with spacious suite, quiet. Strong, hot shower, well-functioning AC, firm mattress. Silverware and plates are in the dishwasher, ready to use.

Property tucked away. Quiet location. The staff was awesome.. Breakfast was good.

Had a wonderful stay. Excellent customer service and loved the amenities. Just wish the bed wasn't so soft. Hope to stay here again in the future.

We just finished a 20 day stint here, and this is an outstanding place to base yourself. It's much more than another sterile hotel, it really is more like a home. The staff are super friendly, there's a pool and a hot tub, and they have a great laundry and dryer setup for cleaning clothes. I wasn't sure about the "3 star" rating and some of the photos I saw online before we stayed, but the staff are super friendly and they will go out of their way to make your stay more pleasant - it far far exceeded my expectations and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to others.

I recently stayed at Homewood Suites by Hilton Newark-Fremont from February 18-19, 2025, and unfortunately, my experience was far below the standards I expected from the Hilton brand. When I checked in, I was not informed about the complimentary dinner and drinks available to guests, a key amenity I would have appreciated. As a result, I went out with a friend and spent over $100 on dinner. Upon returning to the hotel around 7:40 p.m., I discovered other guests enjoying this offering, and the front desk confirmed it was complimentary—but the restaurant was closing, so I missed out entirely.

I raised this issue with the staff that evening and followed up with the manager the next morning. While the manager acknowledged the miscommunication, she offered only a $10 credit, claiming the complimentary food had “no value” since it was free. I found this response dismissive and insulting, especially given the expense I incurred and the fact that I was not treated equally as other guests. This experience contradicts Homewood Suites’ 100% Suite Assurance Guarantee, which promises to make things right if a guest is unhappy, provided the issue is raised before checkout—which I did.

As a loyal Hilton customer, I am deeply disappointed by this lack of accountability and the failure to uphold the brand’s commitment to guest satisfaction. I have reached out to Hilton Corporate for a fair resolution, but I feel compelled to warn other travelers about this experience. I hope Hilton will take steps to address this issue and ensure all guests are treated with the respect and consistency the brand is known for. I would not recommend this property until improvements are made.

I like a lot about this property, however there was a couple negatives. The shower is built so that you have to go all the way in to turn it on, so enjoy that burst of cold water before it gets warm. The next negative was the elevator breaking for 2 days, it was working by the time i checked out so i luckily didnt have to bring my luggage down 3 flights of stairs. Other than that, its a great place to stay. Studio style. The kitchen, office, living, and bed all in one space. Toilet and shower are separate than the vanity. The light/mirror in the vanity is a dream for anyone putting makeup on for their day. My room was diagonal from the elevator and right next to the stairs and the soundproof works! The only sound was from people knocking on doors and the shutting of doors. The hotel is located across from a highschool and you cant hear the early traffic. Unless you open the windows which is convenient if youre cooking and want fresh air. Also located close to the freeway, mall, restaurants, has bus transportation, and a movie theater all walking distance. Parking is free and i noticed it gets filled up by 6pm. They offer breakfast and a social hour. The food was simple but good! Not 5 star but I was satisfied. Security is basic but i felt safe at all times, every door is key card entry. I also appreciated that I could have the blinds open and not feel like people could just watch me from the street. I would stay here again anytime!
