Staff and cleanliness
We arrived after midnight so we were not around to check in and wanted to charge us more to check in early for the next day it was just a terrible experience wont stay again
It was too late. I had to leave before it was put out
The necessary deposit was not clear when I booked the room. And then it changed from the time I checked in to the time I checked out.

When we first checked in they sent us to a used dirty room all the way on the top floor at the opposite end of the hallway. It wouldn’t be such a big deal but i’m way to pregnant to be going up and down. We were given a new room but it wasn’t much better. Our toilet was coated in black residue and our pillows and blankets had what i thought was rust stains all over. All in all it was not a very good experience and i’m not sure if i’d stay in another Hawthorn hotel again. Definitely wish we had atleast a halfway decent experience, but i guess it’s what i get for only traveling to airbnbs and not hotels

Sheets had little balls of material pilling. Very uncomfortable. Felt like sand in bed.
Staff-helpful after the AC didn’t work in the Room 221. I was moved to Room 309. I did get my $200 deposit-refunded.
The property-needs remodel / maintenance. It’s worn down. I tried to get a room early-staff told me me no rooms available-night before saw 10 cars in the parking lot. I waited 10 minutes in lobby after ringing bell-to check in. Also , $200 deposit for damages- I don’t think , guests want to stay because of the deposit. Only a few cars in parking lot-when I stayed. The toliet seat-room 309 broken / room 221 AC broken -no cold air-knobs broken.
THE HOTEL EAS NICE, BUT I DIDN'T STAY LONG BECAUSE I BECAME ILL AND HAD TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL THAT FRIDAY THE 19TH OF MARCH. JUST GOT OUT ON TODAY MARCH 23RD, 2026. THE HOTEL WAS COMFORTABLE THOUGH.
THE FACT THAT I BECAME ILL AND COULDN'T STAY MY WHOLE TIME.
