The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The free parking was a plus.
The breakfast room was very small. The food choices were limited. The prepared eggs were too salty and most of the other choices (muffins, cereal) had too much sugar. If one arrived late in the evening (10 AM), finding a parking space was difficult. When we arrive the room was very hot; we had to turn on the air conditioner for at least two hours for the room to cool down. For older folks the outside stairs to the first floor required caution.

The bed was a bit firm and parking is limited especially at night.
My initial experience with the male staff member who checked me in was great, no complaints. He did a great job.
The female staff member that I spoke with the second day of my stay, about extending my stay for a few hours, was incredibly rude and un-accommodating, despite me being police and my offer to pay for the additional hours. It pretty much ruined my stay there. She was exceptionally awful. I really try to have empathy for staff because I have managed vacation rentals, but the experience was so bad and stressful that I am ranking this hotel low.
I am also concerned that they do not have the AC on during the day, which doesn't work when LA is so hot in the summer, and can lead to mold growth.
The staff were nice. It was clean, parking and breakfast included, and the water pressure was decent.
The walls must be thin. You can hear EVERYTHING, which disrupted nights of sleep. The furniture and stuff are also clearly dated and could use an upgrade. Parking spots could also be bigger.
The room was clean and welcoming. It was quiet. Very convenient to our family's home around the corner.
The was an odor when we first entered the room. We believe it was a cleaning solution that was masking possibly cigarette smoke.
