Mediocre stay with inconvenient parking
Pros:

The breakfast buffet is very good. Location is central.

Cons:

The parking situation is bad. The hotel doesn't have its own parking but does have an attached paid parking. However, if you have never been to this town before, it gets very confusing that you cannot drive to the front desk and drop off luggages. Front desk is on the second level and you have to park in the attached parking, which with little instructions prior to check in, is very hard to find. Furthermore, there's very little internet coverage in the parking garage so if you have a EV rental car, good luck on downloading the charging app and getting it to work. We gave up and drove in the rain to a nearby charging point.

The room is smaller than Scandic Bergen and not very updated. I think no refrigerator also is a negavtive. We want to store ice for our sodas. Lack of umbrella rental is also an inconvenience.

Expected Much Better For the Price
Pros:

First off this place is very conveniently located right at the train and bus station in this small town. A big plus are that the windows are very sound proofed - we had a room for one night facing the tracks and you could barely hear the trains passing through.

But this is an expensive hotel with many issues. Check in was chaotic but that could be the nature of being at this location so you have big groups all arriving at once. Also for a big hotel it is woefully short on elevators. Big lines were not uncommon. We were on the fifth floor and for what appears to be a newer hotel the hallways were beat up. Carpets stained and dirty.

The room itself was nice with a small seating area but no coffee pot or kettle. The bathroom was a joke! Who designed that shower? Good luck not getting everything wet especially on the counter. Also the sink faucet would automatically lower the water volume. Finally the sink drain was such a poor deign that it backed up easily.

A new and confusing feature that we first encountered here was the door to the room doesn't automatically lock when you leave unless you swipe your room key. It will lock after two minutes??? We saw this later on this trip but at least that hotel had clear instructions on the door warning you of this "helpful" feature.

The breakfast buffet was large and with a good selection but the cleanup staff could not keep up with the peak tourist crowd

Too expensive for all these downsides.

Wonderful stay with a great breakfast
Pros:

We stayed 1 night at the Scandic Voss on our Norway road trip and this hotel stood out for a few reasons. The breakfast was phenomenal with a lot of food options. The hotel was very clean, comfortable, and the room was spacious. The location was perfect with easy walking distance to town and the gondola. I’d say the value for the money was good between the comfortable room, great location, and superb breakfast. The only downside I can think of was the parking. Paid parking as a guest is always annoying, especially when it’s not in a city with limited space. We parked at the Voss station lot, which was a bit cheaper, but also involved an inconvenient walk with a lot of luggage.

Great location for an overnight stay.
Pros:

We stayed in Voss for just the one night. The hotel is ideally located opposite the picturesque lake. Rooms are small but adequate; however, no tea/coffee making facilities and no safe in the room. Bed very comfortable and a great shower. Food at breakfast and dinner was good with plenty of choice. Drinks very expensive, even by Norwegian standards. All in all very happy with our visit.

Great Location, but Cleanliness Could Be Better.
Pros:

The hotel has a great vibe and an excellent location. The room and bathroom were clean, comfortable, and overall the hotel was nice.

Cons:

Unfortunately, the coffee cups in the room were not properly washed, and the inside of the window was very dirty, which was unpleasant and disappointing. Because of these cleanliness issues, I would rate my stay 6/10.

Breakfast was AMAZING!!! So many options, very very good. The location was excellent too, nice and central.

Cons:

Just FYI if you want two separate beds -- we booked twin beds and it is basically a double bed with two different blankets, in case you wanted more room.
