La cite of Carcassone a tru fairytale adventure
Pros:

A beautiful medieval property perfectly restored for the atmosphere of old Carcassone. Inside La cite and excellent parking experience. Breakfast was good. Beds were comfy and location couldn’t be better We had a private garden terrace which was lovey.

Cons:

Room a little dark and a complicated bathroom layout. This should be updated.

Peaceful stay in the heart of Medieval Carcassone
Pros:

Loved being inside the medieval city overnight. The room was clean and spacious. The car park service was outstanding.

Cons:

The furniture in the living room of the suite was not very comfortable and the coffee maker in the room did not work.

Pros:

Just loved this place. Inside the walls, could sleep with the window open, it was peaceful, central, comfortable, breakfast was lovely. It was a wonderful stay and would re commend for anyone visiting carcassonne.

Poor service
Pros:

Location. Very quiet, comfortable beds.

Cons:

I emailed in advance to ask if we could get a taxi to the hotel, as one of our group had a sore leg and was using a crutch to walk. I was told this was not possible, so we walked from yhe car park outside the walls. When we got into the town to the hotel we could see that there was a fleet of mini taxis ferrying people from the hotels to the car parks outside the walls. We should have been told this was possible.
When we were leaving, we asked the reception to book a taxi to the airport. Again, no shuttle car was offered even though my friend was having difficulty walking. We made out way to the hotel car park outside the walls - about 15 minutes walk. We waited for 15 minutes then rang the taxi company, who told us no booking had been made.
Nice hotel, good value, but very poor service from reception.
I emailed the hotel after our trip with this complaint and they did not reply

Very basic but excellent for INSIDE Carcassone location!
Pros:

Excellent location in the heart of Carcassone. Room was very basic with no frills. Older furnishings, tricky lighting (one switch turns off EVERYTHING! Some finishes peeling. Shower had some mildew. Promised AC not available! ‘Bar’ not staffed but breakfast quite plentiful and good!!!

But if you want to stay INSIDE Carcassone, this is a value. Just no frills. So don’t expect what the photos show.

The valet service was invaluable! And Kelli at the front desk was quite nice!
