Carmel Jewel Boutique
Pros:

This is our favorite little boutique hotel in Carmel. The wonderful staff, cozy, well- appointed fireplace, ocean view rooms with ample balconies for lounging, and the wonderful art they've hung everywhere by local artist Erin Gafill. Wine time at 4pm, continental breakfast delivered at around 8AM, it just doesn't get better. Walking to everything; we never stay anywhere else!

Pros:

The staff who welcomed me was very kind and the room was cozy. Great location as well in a quiet part of Carmel.

Cons:

The wifi was spotty and when I called the front desk, he said "well it's been working fine for me and no one else has mentioned anything." I had to use my phone's hotspot to do work and the tv would stop because of bad connection. It was also super duper hot in the room. I had two fans on, left the window open all day and night, and when I called to ask about another room, the same man said he couldn't accommodate but did drop off a third fan at my room. The breakfast basket was a bit underwhelming as well but love the idea (small oj, banana, activia yogurt, and a croissant).

Walking distance to town, very charming and comfortable.
Pros:

Loved the close proximity to beautiful Carmel. Loved the gorgeous courtyard with spa and fireplaces to gather around in the evening. Loved the wine and cheese on offer from 4 - 6pm every night. Beautiful, quiet grounds and friendly, helpful staff.

Cons:

For two of us in the bed, it was too soft.

Great Value
Pros:

The Horizon and Ocean View Lodge may be the best value in Carmel. They offer luxury touches for modest costs. We stay in the Ocean View Lodge because we travel with our dog. The cottages feel like a blast from the past in the best possible way. Old style spaciousness and charm with modern enhancements. The cottages are lovely with real wood burning fireplaces. Breakfast is included as is free on-site parking. It's a pleasure to stay here.

Great experience!
Pros:

In this ever changing world when a hotel employee greets you with a big smile that makes all the difference in the world! We weren’t even in the lobby yet! Horizon Inn is a gem. Breakfast brought to the room everday in picnic baskets, clean and comfortable rooms, a lovely courtyard with fireplace and fire pit, an evening happy hour with cheese and local wine and a very nice jacuzzi to soak in after a hard day of beaching haha! Very convenient to all restaurants and shops in town. Can’t wait to return!

Our stay here was absolutely perfect in every way. The rooms, the breakfast, the grounds and the staff were exceptional

Everything! The grounds were clean and well maintained. The beautiful flowers everywhere made it extra special. Loved the fireplace, fire pit and hot rub area.

Great stay in Carmel
Pros:

Great spot to stay for a quick night on our PCH trip. Very close to pebble beach and downtown. Rooms were a bit dated as to be expected but immaculate and everything you need is there. Loved the onsite purified water system. Parking is tight but we found a spot on street easily.

Definitely worth the price and will definitely be going back!
Pros:

Great location, the morning continental breakfast deliveries were such a cute touch! The staff were so helpful and approachable. The spa patio is a must visit.

Cons:

The bed was not the most comfortable. A little hard for my liking but some may like it extra firm.

Perfect in every way!
Pros:

This inn has it all and more. The location is great; we had a balcony with ocean view that we really enjoyed, especially while having the breakfast in a basket that was delivered each morning (such a great idea). The room was very comfortable and the water pressure was fabulous! It was nice and quiet which was an added plus. We also loved how easy it was to walk right into town and down to the beach. The landscaping was really pretty, lots of colorful flowers and beautiful trees. Topping it all off, they offered a wine, fruit, and cheese complimentary happy hour each afternoon that was really amazing; such a nice treat! The staff was so lovely and helpful. All of this for a very reasonable price! Really wonderful! We’d come back in a heartbeat.
