The owners couldn’t have been more welcoming. They asked via Booking messaging if we would need an evening meal and if so did we have food allergies. Shortly after arrival we were presented with a delicious 3 course home cooked meal.
They also booked a taxi at 5am and one of owners was up to ensure alll went well .

The hosteria is run by a lovely family. They made every effort possible to ensure we felt safe and comfortable. Top notch

Everything! The property is gorgeous and so meticulously taken care of. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the room was lovely. However, the best part is the family that runs it. They are the best people and work so hard to make sure everything is perfect. We really enjoyed our stay

Casa del Viajero is a gem. Family-owned and operated, the property is lovingly maintained with a beautiful, tranquil garden that attracts legions of birds and butterflies. The hosts are gracious and welcoming, providing just the right balance of attention and respect for privacy. The food was fresh, organic and delicious, and the room was clean, spacious and comfortable. It is convenient to the airport so there is occasional airplane noise but it is a minor issue. I really enjoyed my stay here and highly recommend it to travelers looking for a peaceful respite.

Perfect location for go birding at Papallacta or Antisana.

I'm rating this 3 stars only for the frustration that the owner had placed on me over a billing concern. Between Hotels.com and the hotel owner, I was charged for last minute extra stay and last minute cancelation from the owner even after the site chat session had received a waiver directly from the owner over the phone. I followed directions to cancel via app but evidently the owner charged my card stating she's providing me a break.

I understand the business aspect of it and agreement that applies to cancelation and shortening stays but I strongly felt that both sides did not provide some sort of customer satisfaction in this sudden cha ge of plans.

I'm no longer continuing with Hotels.com nor stay at this location. I'll be relying on AirBnB which is much more convenient, less costly and less hassle.

Endroit très calme, très propre, et des hôtes aux petits soins (sont même venus nous chercher à la navette à 21h).

Excelente sitio, muy conveniente cerca del aeropuerto de Quito. Los dueños ( La Sra Gina y el Sr Santiago) son excelentes personas y muy atentos. No lo piense dos veces si debe estar en un sitio cerca del aeropuerto. La casa es genial, todo muy limpio y serás bien atendido.

The staff was very friendly and used very clear communication about our stay. (in English)
The hotel and the rooms are very spacious and the beds are really comfortable, we very much enjoyed our stay here.
The breakfast and dinner were also really great!

I highly recommend this hotel. It is small, private with a lovely patio and garden.
We were greeted with a very warm welcome by Santiago and Catalina who made us feel most welcome.
Catalina made us a lovely dinner which was served in their small but beautifully decorated dining room.
The hotel is spotlessly clean, the rooms nice and large and the king bed very comfortable.
This is the second time we have been here and will again if we visit Quito in the future.

We had a super welcome by the hotel proprietor who escorted us personally to our room. The hotel is very small, only seven rooms and is 15 mins from the airport. The room is nice and large with a king bed, large wall tv and plenty of outlets for our phones etc..
The hotel is nicely decorated and very clean.
I would highly recommend this hotel when visiting Quito.

Acogedor y agradable

beautiful garden to sit outside in and relax. lovely rooms, beds big and comfortable. the hosts cooked us a delicious dinner with dessert and wine. rooms very clean and comfortable. we had to leave at 5:30am but fresh coffee was prepared and our driver was waiting! gorgeous place. 15 minutes from the airport.

Sebastian and Gina and quite attentive. Gina cooked a delicious dinner of meat lasagna, excellent salad and fig dessert with a cane sugar and yogurt sauce with a glass of good red wine. Sebastian arranged excellent transportation to the Pappalacta spa and early morning airport transfer got me up on time!
