I think I will find another hotel in Portland but would not rule out Hyatt in other cities.
Pros:

It was very clean and modern and the room was small but nice.

Cons:

The staff were rude when I first tried to check in. I only had cash with me and I had to pay an undisclosed $75 incidentals fee before checking in. Also the parking garage and valet were full so I had to park 1/4 mile away and carry my bags back to the hotel. I left and went to the show I had come to Portland to see. While at the show I used a reverse ATM to convert my cash to a card and got checked into my hotel at 11:30. Thankfully their garage was open at that w. Then they charged me $35 for less than 12 hours of parking.

Great location and service
Pros:

We love the Hyatt for its great location next to the convention center and Moda. The atmosphere always feels very classy. The rooms are nice, love the night lights that come on under the bed. I love that the bar is open late to order food. We ordered after our concert at close to closing, and the service was great and the food was delicious!! Parking is also very easy.

Cons:

The pull out bed wasn't clean. The mattress cover had crumbs and a big stain. The bedding set for it also wasn't complete and possibly used. We called down to the office and they sent us a new bedding set right away. That was really the only hitch in our stay.

We would definetly stay here again. We felt safe and comfortable.
Pros:

This was a great location for our comic con weekend. Staff was very friendly and professional. Everywhere smelled good and was clean. The room was very concrete and the bedding was a dream. Side note: our front desk agent the day were arrived, Brandon, was very helpful and was wearing his cosplay in support of the event across the street. It was a welcoming outfit that made us feel like we fit in. Nice touch letting employees wear their cosplay clothes!

Cons:

I was told, when I made the reservation, that breakfast was included, buffet style. The morning we were there, I was told by the front desk that my package didn’t include breakfast so we had to forgo our morning meal and this made it very difficult for our big day at the convention center. It was really disappointing but our overall stay was great.
