Great location in Setiabudi, be aware that it is in a kampung, not a fancy area. But it is safe, with good access to restaurants, shopping and transportation.
I really wanted to like the Japanese style room, but it really was not very comfortable. The bed converts to a sofa, sort of. There is a seating area with floor pillows, not very useful. The room has windows, but a few centimeter from another building. It felt dark, with no view. Room was clean, but not maintained well.
This property is a hidden gem, not just because of the decor but because of the staff, the people that attend the local the city but.. here’s a secret.
The roof top bar, the cuisine is Michelin level, the chef and the staff outrageously good, I travel; I travel a lot, this is Pullman 5 star Luxembourg level maybe better.
Now here’s what makes the food better, the DJ (Perfect - I will not demean her due to the fact words cannot describe her ability to blend tracks and understand what the demography of the restaurant bar require) - if I owned the bar I would lock her in with a contract and then make her name spread. She is that good and again I travel.
, the women that operate the hospitality are trained to extremely strong levels. London/Switzerland professionalism. The bar staff, understand that while one side needs to be professional the others can be professional and fun. Interacting with the customer on a social level such as a little dance
Location is wild but once you understand that that’s what makes it brilliant, you see it for what it is a perfect property.

If you need good Wi-Fi, this is not the place for you, as there is practically none.
The sounds from the loudspeaker at 4:30 a.m. may also be disturbing.

L’eau chaude ne dure pas longtemps..
The staff were very friendly and accomodating. They let me borrow a charger the entire time I was there as I had brought the wrong one. The room was spacious for 1-2 people with comfy beds.
The pressure and hot water for the shower was very weak. The location is in a suburban area so be prepared to be woken up at 4am every morning by the prayers on loudspeaker outside.
