Place was very clean. The only thing I was not crazy about was the need for down deposit and the request for emailing photos of my identification. Other than that. No issues
Super seamless check-in and check-out. Building was great, room was clean.
No staff, I was asked for an e-transfer for the damage deposit 48 hours before my stay by an external email and then I had to ask for it back after my stay (I'm pretty sure it would not have been refunded if I didn't ask), I wanted to know where to park seeing as I was driving into downtown Toronto and was not given any instructions until I payed the deposit and an extra parking fee. There was no staff to talk to, no check in/reception desk to call - very complicated instructions to check in and to park a vehicle. I payed for parking but wasn't given the parking fob to unlock the parking garage door, and once again no staff to talk to. Would not recommend.

Was bit disappointed in the condition of the property. The dishes in the dishwasher were still dirty. Paint peeling off walls in bathroom. The walls could use a spot washing! Windows were very cloudy! But otherwise, was a great location! A Very quiet building. Tennent’s and front desk personnel were very friendly and helpful. Enmities were in walking distance.
This was not a hotel, it was a Global Stay (GS), so there is NO ONE at the facility that can help you. After I made my reservations thru Hotels.com (H). I was contacted by GS about a deposit and paid parking. H never asked for or mentioned a deposit or cost for parking. I think everything should have been thru H. The only way I was able to access the building was when someone came out. Security was very helpful. I had to go to the floor where the unit was, go the the stairway, look for a lock box (there were 9 on that level), put in the code, get the key and then get in the unit. Asking about parking, I had to find another lock box with the parking fob. I was told space #4, level P1, even security couldn't find #4. I was instructed to park in V4. When I complained to GS, I was told I had been given all the needed into. My opinion..... It should have been much easier to understand. The unit itself was nice but the beds were too soft.
Terribly disappointed! It started with a scammy vibe the day before when without any prior contact from GlobalStay I get a generic WhatApp message claiming to be them asking for a deposit via PayPal (no prior mention of a deposit prior to arriving…) and a link asking for private Information like ID’s of all guests. Then after sending the info, they send a message and immediately delete it before I could read it…no confirmation or further communication on WhatsApp. Then later that day an email from another Global Stay person asking for the same info that was already sent via WhatsApp. We specifically booked this property at a higher cost than competitors in the area solely because it had a pool for my 78 year-old father who has Parkinson’s to be able to do his pool work outs. The pool is the first thing mentioned in most spots of the advertising… No Asterix, no exceptions, nothing. We arrive only to find out. The pool is only available for longer-term days and we don’t get it. The site also claims it’s professionally cleaned with it clearly is not. After wecheck-in we see several areas with dirty greasy crime like the smoke detectors, malfunctioning alarm systems, hair on the bathroom floor, running toilet, that just randomly starts running and stopping, The plug in the sink is missing parts, stains on the placemats on the table, soaking wet sheets hanging in the closet, main bank of lights for living/dining room don’t work (with large splatters of paint on them) and more.
I booked this property thinking it was a regular hotel. They charge my credit card right away, then I started getting WhatsApp messages asking me to send pictures of my passport and photos of me holding my passport! I would never have booked this if I knew this was the process for check in. As a single woman travelling alone and it’s dangerous for me to do that. They refused to refund any money, DO NOT book this property!!!!!! It’s a SCAM!!!!!!!
Loved the property and the safety of the building.
First off, the property is clean and in a decent location. However, our experience was nothing if not bizarre. For starters, they require photo id of ALL guests. Cancellation on the property was one full MONTH ahead of check in, and a deposit had to be made through PayPal, which I had to wait a full week to have returned. They charge an extra $30 for my husband to be there despite the booking stating there were beds enough for 6. I believe this charge is per extra person and could really add up.
It was clearly advertised that there was a pool, hot tub and gym, and the ad even advertises relaxing after a long day in the hot tub. However, after check in, we were told those amenities are for ‘long term renters only’ Whatever that means.
I would not recommend this property due to false advertising and some weird operating practices.
Property was in a great location. Dislike was the parking instructions could have been clearer. Was not given the code to get the remote to get into the parking area.
I believe the beds need to be improved otherwise it was perfect ! Would definitely stay again
The unit was not clean. Pillows were yellow, spiders in the bathroom, spider webs in all rooms. Towels were outdated. There was crumbs on the sofa. Polyester sheets. For this price a night , i think there should be a bit more effort into cleaning.
The condo was nice, but a bit smaller than expected. The communication was horrible, we had to wait 1h in the lobby before we got the email with the code to check-in. It then took another 30min to get the instructions for the parking. The address on Expedia is not the right one and nobody on site was able to assist us. We were also never able to access the pool, even after asking the lobby. The host never came back to us.
they waited until the day before i checked in to tell me i had to pay a deposit before I could get the check in info. i emailed them and didn’t get a response, i had to follow up that night. i didn’t get a response until the morning of check in, which they then demanded many different pictures of myself & IDs which was AFTER the check in time. i tried calling to get the information and they hung up on me. the place smelled like smoke, the bathtub was disgusting, there was open fruit in the fridge, the AC was broken. do NOT stay here!
The requirements to even be given the check in information after booking was excessive Then the numerous steps required to check in and park was like being on a treasure hunt Parts of the unit were in disrepair and very dated and worn. I have to wait 7 days to get my secuirty deposit back on top of it all.
The condo was clean and the view of the city was phenomenal.
The host of our place communication skills were non existing. Very unsatisfied with our stay. We won’t be coming back again that’s for sure.
The location was great with grocery, restaurants and activities all nearby.
Instructions on arrival were clear and the addition of pictures and video made it easy to find our place.
Any communication back and forth was understood and some specific details on both sides could have easily made communication 5/5 and would have probably made the property 5/5 as well. (# of keys provided, and what to do with groceries left behind are 2 examples)
I have bookmarked the property and would gladly return on my next trip, if it was available. Sean 55
