Noisy room on street
Nice room and close to our destination
When I reviewed our receipt we were charged for a breakfast meal. We were refunded the mistake, but I'm worried that a person can charge any room without verification.
The Staff were very helpful.
The workout facility was great. I didn't get to check out the pool but it was recommended by the staff. They even helped with bringing me to the correct location from the airport to the Hilton garden inn near the airport to the Hilton garden Downtown location. It was a simple correction. Each location had helpful staff. The complimentary breakfast was great. I had an extra breakfast ticket but I could only use one at a time and if breakfast was over, it would become a small lose.
There wasn't anything too bad about either locations I happened to visit. There was a simple light in the bathroom that flickered while it was turned off. So I just kept it on while I was there. The Wallpaper had an interesting optical illusion that made the room seem to have windows but it was an interior room. Interesting design choice.
Clean
Parking
It was clean, well managed, and cozy.
The elevator was a tad janky and held me in it for 5 minutes which was spooky.
Nice hotel with a great location. Central to all of town and walking distance to downtown restaurants and entertainment.
Room facing the main avenue ( Douglas Ave) is pretty loud from motorcycles. I’d pick a room in the back or bring earplugs.
Room was clean and well appointed for all your needs. Front desk staff were hit and miss in friendliness.
Present smell, kind staff, great housekeepers/housekeeping, food was ok; however, it was advertised that continental breakfast was included in cost, and added $57 extra on the end of the bill.
Waiters was hard to understand and cant tell a difference between white or wheat toast. Building setting was in a very loud area i didn't get much sleep if any. Then on top of that I wake up to a breakfast that was supposed to be pre-included.
Was a good property, breakfast was nice as well. The staff too was kind helping.
The location and the glass bottom pool were lovely.
It was so loud. Not only did the motorcycles on the street four floors down seem like they were in the room, the walls were so thin you could hear full conversations from the room beside you. And the AC unit? Kicked on with the snarl of a wildebeest. We can for a relaxing one night stay to get some rest and barely slept at all.
I was on a solo road trip in April 2026 that took me to Wichita for 3 nights/3 days, and I stayed at this Hilton Garden Inn downtown. I arrived on a Thursday afternoon and checked out Sunday morning. Overall, it's a very nice hotel!
My check-in process went okay except for the fact that there's not a ton of quick parking available when guests are unloading/registering. When I arrived, I had to have my car parked with its hazard lights on in front of a dumpster because all the other spots near the front entrance were taken. But once I got settled in, I was able to move my car to the garage that's adjacent to the hotel... and parking was fine. (Guests can self-park their cars for a flat fee each night with in-and-out privileges. The only catch is that you have to go to the front desk to validate your parking ticket each time you park. Not a huge deal.)
My room (#526) was clean and comfortable and faced the main drag in downtown Wichita was cool. The only issue was that there were tons of cars revving their engines on that main drag (day and night) during my stay, so the noise level was kind of annoying.
The amenities of this hotel are excellent. I LOVED the bar, and the 6th-floor pool is really nice. The little section of the pool that juts out of the building and looks down at the street below is a fun little addition.
Overall, I loved this hotel despite the noise level (I suppose that's just part of a downtown hotel experience). The value was good overall, and I loved the atmosphere. It was a great stay... lovely facility.
I did enjoy my stay at this downtown Wichita property. During my stay only city parking was available in the attached garage. It worked fine for me. Check in was fine and housekeeping did a good job. The hotel restaurant was decent, and I only use it one time. Just about everything was walking distance, so I loved the location. The gym is in the basement, and it was okay. The rooftop pool wasn't very busy, so I was able to use it daily for water sports. The swim out area is a nice touch, but really small. The pool sitting area is very nice. My room was really nice and felt plush. I would recommend this Hilton properly if you want to be in the downtown area of Wichita, KS.
Perfect location if going to the intrust arena. I will definitely stay here again.
