Food was lovely. Bedroom was spacious & bed comfortable.
Food portions at dinner & breakfast are far too much for one person. Lot of waste & not necessary.
Restaurant manager/staff friendly but constantly 'hovering' close by, watching every minute, interrupting several times whilst eating to see if food was good & being asked if I was there alone (it was obvious I was), whether I was married, had husband, separated etc. Definitely not appropriate behaviour.
I had to insist I wanted to pay my meal by card - staff member was asking me to pay in cash.
In my bathroom, the hand shower next to toilet was leaking (& by the look of rust & scale deposit on floor, it had been for a long time). The hotel needs a good clean, paint job & general maintenance. None of this had anything to do with the cyclone damage.
At ground level, at the front of the hotel the view is completely obscured by big tourist buses parked right outside the front lobby.

It was fairly basic, but the staff were friendly and helpful as much as the could.
Some repairs are needed and the hot water is limited.
The staff at the reception and restaurant were very friendly
They dont clean room each day yo provide complementary coffee, tea, water. No drinking glasses in the room even we requested. Food are not good.
Bed & pillows were very comfortable.
No hot water when arrived in evening after long flight & on second morning zero hot water - had to shower & wash hair with cold water.

Waaaaay over priced for what is is.
Hotel was empty, dirty, no light on the roof top because of electricity challenges. Half the floors and rooms were obviously left abandoned.
The bathtub in the room did not have hot water and was VERY smelly when turned on.
At 240 $/night I was expecting another standard. It was barely worth 100$/night.
There were altogether 2 other guests for what is Likely a 100+beds facility. Clearly not favored anymore.

The hotel is clearly one of the best in Negombo beach. Beautiful view from the room, excellent and abundant breakfast on the rooftop, always accompanied by the sea view. They were all very kind and gave us a huge help with the management of our luggage.
