Bad experience
Pros:

The room size was good. A/c worked well. Location was a couple of miles from an event we were attending.

Cons:

When I first arrived to check in, no one was at the front desk. There was a sign that said they were tending to other customers and would be back soon. I had no problem waiting. I could hear that someone was vacuuming. I heard the vacuum turn off and a lady looked over and saw me standing there and the first thing she said was "you should have told me you were here". Once checked in, we had trouble with our room key not opening our door. I went back down stairs and the lady who checked me in seemed annoyed when I told her that we were having problems with the room key. She said "I know it works, I tried it earlier." She reprogrammed it and proceeded to open another door near the office with it and said "see it works, do you want me to go up there and show you how to use it?" in a very sarcastic way. I told her no and just laughed it off because I had my daughter with me and did not want to make a scene. I assumed she was just having a bad day. We finally got the door open then noticed that the only way to make sure our door closed was to pull/slam it shut other wise it would stay open. The restroom sink would not drain, there was what looked like blood on the sheet that was on the pull out sofa bed, hair dryer did not work. Ice machine was not working, pool was closed (no water). Bottom line...would I ever stay here again, NO.

Location was great, but overwhelming chemical odor
The location of this hotel is excellent, and the towels were clean. However, the property is khá old and needs updating. My biggest issue was an extremely strong, overpowering chlorine smell throughout the room. It was so severe that my eyes were literally burning and watering. I have a chlorine allergy, which made it virtually impossible to sleep through the night. While I appreciate the effort to maintain cleanliness, the overwhelming chemical smell was unacceptable. I am really not sure if I would stay here again.

Cons:

I did not like the pool was not open, due to repairs, and the schedule. If I had known this I would have never booked this place to stay. I and my grandchildren were looking forward to swimming after traveling there. Get the pool fixed and change that schedule for the guest.....

It’s a great place for me to go get away from home.
Pros:

Beautiful property. Only thing that makes it less appealing is the pool is in need of some attention. That’s an amenity that does have value for booking rooms.
