Great pool and I had nice views of the river and the Legislative Building. Everyone on staff was really nice…hotel was very clean. My room was a bit sparse of furniture with no chaise or comfortable chair. There was a desk and chair and space for another nice chair and end table…but otherwise I had a good stay here! It had a nice bar/lounge that was popular.
Staff were all really friendly, pool was large, and restaurant had good food. Comfy bed, fluffy towels…and very clean. Plus it was an easy walk to the main bazaar and other restaurants. I’m glad I had a river view!
Carpet needs cleaning. It had a lot of spots!
The location was superb. The hotel staff were very friendly and attentive. The breakfast buffet had a lot of varieties and was okay overall.
Not usually one to leave hotel reviews, but unfortunately our stay at Grand Margherita Hotel was quite disappointing, particularly in terms of cleanliness and room maintenance.
Some of the issues we experienced:
• The bathtub was old and poorly maintained, and the water did not drain properly, leaving a puddle while showering.
• The bath mat appeared moldy, and when we lifted it, there was visible hair underneath.
• The hairdryer in the room was not functioning.
• The thermostat for the air conditioning did not work. We called the hotel and were informed that the air conditioning is centrally controlled. When we asked whether our thermostat might be faulty, staff mentioned it “might be,” and also stated that all rooms operate this way.
• The fridge was running but had a puddle of water inside it.
• The kettle functioned, but the lid was broken.
The location of the hotel is convenient, but the overall upkeep and cleanliness of the facilities need significant improvement, especially considering the expectations of guests paying for a comfortable stay.
Good variety of breakfast. Fresh cooked options. Decent coffee choices included. Rooms were large clean and adjoining. Staff were attentive, competent and friendly. Pool and bar area was good. Good location

Not thoroughly clean. There are tough stains on the sofa and the bathtub. The toilet roll stand is also loose. The hotel management should do maintenance checking monthly.
