Great Hotel and Better Service!
Pros:

The hotel is well placed and the rooms are unique and nice! However, the main reason I am giving this hotel 5 stars is because of Jake B at the front desk. I watched him check-in a line of guests with a great deal of care and thoroughness, going the extra mile for each one. We arrived at 5:15pm and found out our room had an issue and wasn’t ready, however Jake quickly provided a solution and got things adjusted to get us in a room. It is not often you find employees with such genuine care, enthusiasm, and moral for the place they work for. I am hoping for and expecting great things from Jake in the future. Hyatt you are lucky to have him!

Fabulous hotel in a great location. Definitely a return visit.
Pros:

This is a fabulous, renovated hotel, in the very fun pearl district. Our room was recently renovated and very comfortable.We will definitely return.

Downtown
Pros:

Location is perfect for wanting to do things downtown. Was only 30 min walk to Moda center. Great breakfast. Had valet right at front.

Downtown Portland
Pros:

Location is getting better, doing the best they can do...looking forward to improved situations. The best part of the stay is the restaurant/bar in the lobby. The worst part is everyone on drugs/homeless outside and wondering in that is beyond the hotels control. The kids in valet were also great outside based on traffic issues to help and some great new restaurants walking just a few blocks in all directions!

I’ve stayed here several times, you cannot beat the location. It is walking distance to so many great coffee shops, restaurants, bars, etc. Kind and attentive staff from the valet to the front desk, the room was immaculately clean as well. I booked/checked in after 10pm during my most recent Portland trip because the Airbnb I originally booked was sketchy and I decided to leave. I instantly felt more comfortable in the hotel and am basically over Airbnb at this point. One of the better value hotels in a great pocket of downtown Portland, highly recommended!

Overall comfortable but felt dirty because of the flooring.
Pros:

Comfortable bed and pillows, they gave a lot of towels, and the shower pressure was good.

Cons:

The design of the room looks unconstructed especially with the flooring and ceiling. I felt uncomfortable walking without shoe with the flooring looking dirty (weird marks everywhere on the floor), and no slippers were provided, we bought our own. There was specs of white paint, and red paint (reminds me of blood) which makes me feel uncomfortable. I understand if it’s part of the design but it’s definitely not for me.

Cons:

The card reader in the elevator had issues reading cards, and the room did not have a kettle to boil some water.

Not the best bed experience
Pros:

They need to splurge for fitted bottom sheets. There beds are REALLY messy. Not tight and crisp and comforting at all.
