I booked a 2 bed queen suite and I got a king bed and sofa bed. Was told if I didnt like it I could cancel but this was what they had and had to just deal with it.
The night manager worked hard to help us rectify the problems. Tv had to be hooked to antenna. Floor was just dirty
Floors dirty tv not hooked to work right
The Price and the staff
Our room was by the door to the grill area. It was very loud.
breakfast was a little lacking
Breakfast was very minimal and food was not fresh.
Room cleanliness was lacking. Sheets appeared dirty, food was in our freezer from previous occupants. TV in our room didnt work.
The staff was welcoming and friendly, very kind, I have only great things to say about him.
There was black mold on the walls in the bathroom.
A welcoming experience. Front desk was also the morning cook for breakfast. He is very personable. Property was clean. Price was fair. We would stay at McCook Quality Inn again. Exceeded expectations
Breakfast was very good. Rooms were clean.
Check in was fine. the room not so much... Deadbolt on the door is broken and would not latch. Sink drain plug would not open so the water would not drain. Had to climb under the counter and push the lever up to get it to open just so I could brush my teeth. Window was boarded up with OSB plywood and a musty smell coming from the air conditioner. Bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean so there is that. Breakfast was an absolute disaster! morning #1 - arrived at 0702, breakfast is from 0600 - 0900, and no coffee, no juice, no milk, no biscuits (but plenty of crockpot gravy!) about a 1/4 pan of eggs left, 3 sausage patties, 4 sausage links, empty pan of potatoes, and no bread or bagels. Employee running breakfast and front desk looked like he just woke up wearing baggy T-shirt, giant basketball shorts and crocks with no socks tells me they don't have coffee it will be a while. I finished part of my waffle (only thing to eat) and employee brings in urn of coffee. I fill my cup and can't even drink it. (I am a military veteran and can drink gasoline run through coffee grounds) and I had to pour this stuff out! morning #2 arrived at 0725 and no food not even a spoonful of anything! No juice, no milk, no nothing. Rang the bell at the front desk to get someone to do something and no answer. Looks like another piece of waffle for breakfast. The same guy as morning #1 comes in and just stands in front of the empty food containers and says "poo" (but the four letter one). I made sure to leave my room key at the front desk for fear they would actually charge me $5 for it if I didn't leave per all the signs on the front desk. Zero stars if I could. Absolute disaster for a hotel. I blame ownership and management for piss-poor quality of room and the lack of planning for additional staffing after storms. McCook is well aware that when hailstorms roll through, the hotels are going to get slammed with out-of-town work crews. Next time I find myself in this situation I will drive the 30 minutes out of town to another hotel due east of McCook.
Beds were comfortably firm, hot breakfast was offered, some gym equipment, and staff was exceptional!
Rust on gym equipment, blood stains on bedding, stains on towels, and broken necklace left in a corner of the room.
Very nice motel, friendly staff
Enjoyed my stay.
The lady checking us in was HORRIBLE and couldn’t speak English enough to understand billing questions. They don’t answer the phone EVER for anyone. Not even Booking. Com
The managers and crew were helpful.
The tv didn't work right.
It was an alright stay, but the reason for the low cleanliness review is because when we stepped into the room, it smelled VERY STRONG of cigarette smoke! Over all cleanliness of the room was fine. But the smell was terrible! We ended up going to walmart and bought some candles and sprayed febreeze all around, etc and got it pretty good in there. It was almost like someone had slipped in and took a break in there and smoked a cigarette. I actually found what seemed like some ash on the bathroom floor. Aside from that issue, i would stay there again for the decent price. Staff was very kind and pleasant.
Unfortunately our stay here was not the best, as the room was dirty, the toliet was broken and we had to manually pull the chain to flush and the water ran the whole time we were there for 2 days. The room had mismatched paint all over the walls. We reported to front office to report the toliet and it was never fixed.
No one at the desk for 10 minutes. Had a note to call them, phone went straight to voicemail. Eventually found them. Not good!
