Furniture & parking price
Everything up until I got charged 60 dollars for parking and a tourist tax
60 dollars extra for parking I live an hour away it would have been cheaper to take a bus your prices should all be included when I booked it seems like a scam and I'm not a tourist I live 1 hour away I should not have been charged a tourist tax
The falls were so pretty if you got a room on that side.
Quite a walk to and from the main strip.

Cleanliness of hallways & elevators
We had a horrible experience at The Oakes Hotel overlooking the Falls, and I would strongly warn families and team groups to stay far away.
We were part of a hockey team group booking and were given what can only be described as a dog-crate-sized room on the second floor overlooking the parking lot — not the Falls, not even close. The room was tiny, filthy, and completely unsuitable for four people.
The room was so dirty that my son developed allergies and was coughing all night. In the morning, I used my phone camera with light and checked the mattresses and pillows — they were stained, dirty, and covered in spots. When we looked under the bed, we found a used condom, thick dust, and dirt everywhere. Absolutely disgusting and unacceptable, especially for a hotel that hosts families and sports teams.
The room had only blackout curtains. Once opened, there were no sheers or blinds, meaning zero privacy — people from the street and parking lot could see directly into the room. For a family room, this is unacceptable.
The bathroom was another nightmare: freezing cold, extremely small, and the vanity was oddly installed in the entry area, making it almost impossible to move around. Nothing about this room was functional or comfortable.
Customer service was just as bad as the room. I spoke with the manager, Natalia, first thing in the morning. Her solution was to offer us another tiny “dog crate” room, which I refused. My children were already experiencing allergic reactions, and there was no way we could stay another night.
I requested a refund for the second night, which we were not going to use due to health and safety concerns — and they flat-out refused.
This hotel clearly does not care about cleanliness, guest health, or customer satisfaction. What we experienced was unsanitary, unsafe, and completely unacceptable. We left feeling disgusted and stressed instead of rested.
I will never stay here again, and I strongly advise others — especially families and sports teams — to avoid this hotel at all costs.
The rooms were disgustingly dirty, sheets were not clean, clogged sink, leather chairs not wiped down, hallways not vacuumed, and terrible customer service!!!! When we tried to leave to go to another hotel it was "sorry no refund" It was so bad we still left!!! I would NOT recommend this place!
We stayed at this hotel for one night, we have found multiple hairs throughout the room. Some hair in the jacuzzi, some hair in the bed. We had to call maintenance to fix the hot water in the shower due to it not working properly. Side tables of the bed weren't cleaned because there were coffee rings present. Other than the cleanliness the room was good, spacious and had an amazing view. For the price I paid for, it's worth it, I just wish they cleaned the room better and possibly include parking since I booked the room on a week day.
