Cons:

The hallway and elevator waiting area had guest trash in it for several hours. It was terrible just gave a bad impression. The hotel and rooms were very clean though.

Wish they would spend some money on the rooms not just the lobby
Pros:

The location is phenomenal. As soon as I walk in, it looks all around amazing very clean and very good looking staff all around. Then we were greeted by the front staff man who you would thought have a line wrapped around their place with how short he was with us.

Then went to my room to see a very small bathroom, a mini fridge that could hardly fit three water bottles, no microwave, no alarm clock, and a non-smart TV you would find in a motel six.

It’s given the option to over I would’ve gone with a cheaper hotel got my free cheap breakfast and been able to make some popcorn and watch a movie before to bed.

Zachary at the front desk was very unhelpful and unwilling to help during the system outage they had on July31. We had a reservation and because the system was down he could not confirm it and he was unwilling to help us. While we were at the front desk during this fiasco with Zachary, two different guests came to complain to him that the rooms he had given them already had guests and they walked in on other guests. This is completly unacceptable and an insbility to manage the front desk. Regarding our own matter- If it wasnt for Dunia who overheard our conversation and intervened to assist us Zachary was willing to let us leave. Thank you Dunia for going above and beyond in being hospitable and thinking outside the box to make us a new reservation during the system outage. The room and hotel itself is dated and falling apart. Would not recommend 1 due to the terrible attitude from Zachary and run down facility

Our Experience At The Hilton U of Florida Conference Center
Pros:

My wife and I traveled to Gainesville for her to receive critical medical treatment at the University of Florida and stayed at the referenced hotel

As documented, to the hotel's General Manager, the stay was an unmitigated disaster. A critical wake-up call was ignored by their staff, causing us to almost miss this critical appointment, we were assessed $50.00 for “incidentals” when this was unnecessary, as there were not nor could be any incidentals – the restaurant was closed even though the front-end staff advised otherwise and there was no telephone service. Further, our deposit was never refunded as of this writing.

There was no response to my complaint to the Hotel's General Manager. After follow-up attempts, I finally received a message from the hotel's Director of Operations, refusing refund for acknowledged inferior service even though the hotel bill was paid in full through my credit card account and a refund would have been the only responsible resolution for such a service failure, especially by a business which specializes in hospitality. She didn’t seem to care how this experience would appear on TripAdvisor or Social Media.

We are senior citizens (me 81, and my wife 77) on a fixed income and the sum we paid to the hotel for this level on "service" without restitution is unconscionable.

Amazing
Pros:

I liked how spacious the room was and how close it was to the University of Florida. I also enjoyed the facilities, the gym and pool and bar were amazing.

Cons:

There was not much that I didn't like. One thing was that our room was not cleaned during our stay, we stayed for 2 nights.

Not worth the money
Pros:

Nice lobby area and friendly staff

Cons:

Sink was blocked!
Only 2 cups and minimal coffee/ creamer in the room.
No water in the room! No free water available anywhere close.
Light in the bathroom turns off.
No breakfast included.
