Conrad New York Downtown

We have just returned home from a fabulous stay at the Conrad Downtown. I don’t normally leave reviews but absolutely had to take the time to say how impressed we were with everything at this hotel.

Starting with the staff - everyone we met was so welcoming, kind and genuinely lovely. They made us feel right at home and nothing was too much trouble. The bell desk, reception and concierge were very friendly and always happy to help. Housekeeping was particularly excellent, leaving our rooms beautifully clean and tidy each day with nightly turn down services and fresh ice delivered to our door-which was hugely appreciated in the middle of a brutal heatwave! As someone who really, really values cleanliness, I can’t rate the standards at the Downtown Conrad highly enough. Everything was spotless and we had lovely fresh towels and bedding, really adding to the luxurious feel of our stay.

We had a corner suite (836) which was huge and super spacious, with plenty of room for the four of us. The master bed was extremely comfortable and our two kids slept well on the pull out sofa bed in the lounge area. The nespresso coffee machine was replenished daily which was really appreciated, and our in room water dispenser was a life saver in the hot weather. We had two large plasma tv screens which was great for the couple of evenings we chose to stay in and give the kids a rest from all the walking. Our room was so quiet and there was absolutely no street noise, which was a relief after being in the chaos of midtown for most of the day!

The bathroom was fabulous with a double sink, huge sunken bath tub, walk in shower unit and two separate toilets. Toiletries were very luxurous-Mojave Ghost to be exact!

Breakfast was absolutely delicious - highly recommend the French toast!

The hotel is located just a 5/10 minute walk from the subway up town and also Battery Park, so very easy to get around. We loved being downtown and enjoying a bit of calm in the evening. Being right across from Brookfield Place and very close to the Occulous was great for quick meals and a bit of relaxed shopping.

Lastly, we must give a huge thank you to Ramida for arranging a lovely gift and a handmade chocolate New York taxi for our son’s birthday. It was such a special and thoughtful touch and we were so grateful, it really made his birthday.

So, all in all, it was absolutely a 10/10 for us. Although it’s in the CBD and therefore perfect for business travellers, I would highly recommend for families as well, as it’s so quiet, clean and super comfortable.

The location was perfect, close to subway stations, PAC NYC and the fireworks!

The service was impeccable. Andrew and Kadija and the front desk staff were amazing and super accommodating. The concierge was very helpful. The service and food in the restaurant was outstanding Cesar, Marcel, the restaurant manager (I’m so sad I forgot his name) - everyone really went above and beyond.

The service was fast and easy if we ever needed anything and the room was lovely! During the heatwave the AC worked beautifully.

The hotel came highly recommended by a friend who stays often and I can see why!

Excellent stay - will return.

We booked this hotel through the Amex prepaid service, which was supposed to include two complimentary breakfasts. However, when we received the final bill, the breakfast charges were not credited or removed.

I called multiple times to resolve the issue, but no one seemed willing to look into it or take responsibility. The overall management feels disorganized, and the customer service was very disappointing. I would not stay here again.

The hotel was wonderful, from the room to the restaurant to the concierge team, everything was high quality, very professional and it was in a great location downtown. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.

The moment you walk in you are greeted by this phenomenal lobby that is aesthetically one of the most gorgeous places i have encountered. Not only is it a fun place to just sit back and relax but also great to read a book.
They also have an amazing restaurant attached to the hotel.
There is no room for boredom , Brookfield place is literally a walking distance with amazing stores to find the perfect outfit to explore the city!
The rooms are super clean , spacious and equipped with all the necessities for a pleasant stay, a walk in shower like you never seen before👌🏾
Overall this place did not disappoint! Will definitely be back soon!

Close to all amenities

My husband John and I (Kimberly) recently stayed at the Conrad for two nights with our service dog. From the moment we checked in with Kadjia and Sandrea, the manager, we felt genuinely welcomed. They were incredibly kind and accommodating throughout our entire stay. They even gave our dog a toy, which was such a thoughtful and adorable gesture! Their warm attitudes and exceptional service truly made our stay memorable. It’s people like them who make us excited to return to the Conrad in the future.

As it has been every time I have visited here, it was a topnotch experience from start to finish. All of the staff are extremely accommodating and helpful and deliver everything with a smile. The hotel is spacious and so relaxing to go back to after a long day in the city. Had a great time at the rooftop bar. Had breakfast a couple of times at the restaurant, pricey but with the room credit was not too bad--food and service were both outstanding and made for a great start to the day.

The services at the hotel are impeccable. Each time that i come back feels at home. The entire staff of the hotel are extremely pleasant and friendly. Which has becoming very rare to find such services in a lot of hospitaly around NY.
