Room was gross. The wood was damaged and there were stains on the curtains and floor. Bathroom had stains. The door wouldn’t work correctly when you inserted the key card.
The bathroom was not very clean. We were disappointed that there was no fan in the room, only one small bar of soap and sample size shampoo/conditioner.
Very nice
Staff excellent. Hotel in bad need of updating but was clean
The room was clean and comfortable. The only concern was the vanity was coming lose from the wall. It was still sturdy but concerning.
Easy to get to and good breakfast which we appreciate.
No soap for me to use!
The property was not as clean as we would have preferred. Breakfastwas nice.
Everything was great.
Coming off a 4-day conference experience in Cleveland, I had come down with a terrible flu that made me miss the last day entirely. I had pre-planned to stay here on my way back to Dayton but showed up early given my state. In my experience, almost all hotels will allow an early show, but this time was not to be. I was barely able to manage the wait. The bed was a bit soft and I couldn't figure out the temperature controls. The bed coverings were light, so I eventually doubled them over to give me more warmth. Still I shivered through the miserable night with a high fever. The breakfast was mediocre. Staff was professional though not friendly or sympathetic.
Clean a bit dated safe and friendly
Okay
It was clean. I also left some things behind and they notified me promptly so I was able to retrieve them.
My bathroom sink stopper was inoperable. I notified the front desk and found a note from maintenance that the stopper was broken and it had to be removed. “Sorry”. The front desk informed me that they did not a replacement part. I suggested that Home Depot was right across the street. During my three day stay, it was never replaced.
The complimentary breakfast was fair at best. Open from 6:30-8:30, I was surprised that for guests coming in at 8:00, hot items were not replaced after running out so they were not available for late diners.
The facility is very outdated, especially the room furniture. Scratched and in bad repair. I inquired about a lack of a desk chair for the desk and the reply was that all of the chairs were in poor condition so took them out of the rooms : problem solved.
I intentionally selected a more expensive hotel, thinking that it would be an upgrade from previous stays at lower cost facilities on previous visits. I was mistaken.
My overall opinion was that I was underwhelmed. For a $125 per night, one would rightfully be disappointed.
Ashland is a thriving community, visitors should be able to expect accommodations equal to the town’s vitality.
Looks like it may be getting renovations if not the lobby was dirty and ac not on or not working.
Worst hotel we have ever stayed at. 2 beds broke in two different rooms. Extremely dirty. Constant trash in the common areas and outside. Staff loitered outside smoking. No air conditioning in lobby or hallways. Lobby doors were left open 24 hours a day with bugs visibly running in through the open doors. We were told on the weekend that breakfast was until 10. Saturday morning it stopped at 8:30 and we were unable to get anything. Sunday it went until 10:30. Everything was filthy or broken. Worst stay ever.
Was fine
Did not end up staying. The hotel was nasty dirty. The AC was out and the smell was terrible. I want a refund. I have pictures and videos of the room.
The hotel is in need of major updates. The AC in common areas wasnt working.
The hallway walls are damaged, the wall paper is pealing and the carpet is worn.
The room was clean, the beds were comfy, the breakfast was yummy.
Great breakfast 😋
Nice breakfast. Care and detail in freshness.
