I had a fantastic stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and professional. Check-in was quick and easy, and the receptionist took the time to explain the hotel facilities and offer recommendations for nearby places to eat and visit, which was a really nice touch.
The room itself was excellent—spotlessly clean, spacious, and very well maintained. The bed was extremely comfortable and the linens felt fresh and high quality, which made for a great night’s sleep. I also appreciated the little details such as the well-stocked tea and coffee station, complimentary toiletries, and plenty of storage space. The bathroom was modern and immaculate, with a powerful shower and great water pressure.
Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations. The combination of friendly staff, comfortable rooms, great facilities, and a convenient location made it a really enjoyable stay. I would definitely stay here again and would happily recommend it to others.

We reserved the room thinking this place had a pool for my kids and a hot tub for us. When we arrived they told us that both was closed. Very unhappy we wasn't notified. We would have stayed somewhere else.
The bed was comfy and the room was cool in temperature.

I am extremely disappointed in our experience with both Booking.com and Holiday Inn Bedford. We did a search for Mitchell, SD on Booking com . Holiday Inn came up and we booked it. When we got to the hotel, we were informed we had no reservation. We were there for a funeral and paid over $300 for the last room available. We contacted Holiday Inn in Bedford, Indiana where the booking was made in error and they refused to refund our money so we ended up paying for two rooms in two different states the same night for over $500. We will never use Booking com again and have an unfavorable view of Holiday Inn as a result of this experience.
So i went to this hotel to stay for the night, as i was in town for work and to help a friend, how had storm damage to their house. I checked in and gave my card information. The front desk ran my card gave me my key and i went to my room. 10 minutes into my stay i get a call from the desk saying there is an issue with my card. i immediately check my account to make sure it wasn't a fraud alert. As i am scrolling through transactions i see a pending transaction for the hotel. SO i approach the desk and ask the clerk what the issue was. She tell me my card was declined. so i show her the transaction on my phone that its pending for the hotel and the amount. so she asked if i could call my bank so i did. I speak with the bank representative, and she told me that the initial transaction run at 5:53pm was approved, but at 5:56pm the card was run again, and then again at 6:03pm both of those were declined since the fund were no longer available because they were being held on the initial transaction. i then returned to the clerk with the the bank rep on the phone and she told her that the transaction was approved by the bank and not declined. Clerk then told me i needed to use a different card. when i said maybe there is an issue with your computer she told me that wasn't the case. So i declined to give her another card not knowing if there is a problem with their system. I asked to speak to the manager, who of course was not available. I was told if i was going not going to give another card, then i had to leave. I said well i need to check to make sure i have all my things from the room i had just check into, and of course i had to be escorted up there. At this point i am frustrated, and its beginning to show. so after i make sure i have all my things i walk out and walking down the hall way i realize i still have the key card so i just toss it in the air and keep walking. I asked for the GMs number which of course is nothing but the Hotel front desk number and the GM is not available. So i leave the building and go out to my car and IHG customer care to try to resolve this issue. They called the hotel front desk who then tell them i through the key at her and cussed her out lol. i never cursed at her and witnesses in the lobby agreed i never cursed at her. My friend came out to talk to me while i am on the phone. i spent an hour and a half on the phone trying to figure things out. my friend who had been staying there for several days prior when back in and was also kicked out the hotel for being associated with me along with her young daughter. So as i wrap up my call with the customer service rep. A local law enforcement officer pulls in. Because i am in public safety as well he recognized me and we had a brief conversation about the situation. I explain to him that i had been on the phone with guest relations for over an hour, showed him my phone and timer, showed him the transaction on my bank account. I was told that the front desk clerk didn't feel safe. at that point all i can do was laugh, because now because i am a person of color trying to peacefully resolve the issue over the phone you don't feel safe. Because i am in my car outside trying to figure things out. So needless to say we will never use IHG hotels again based on this experience. Never did i make any threats or make a scene, or even try to come back in after i walked out. For you to call the police i believe was on due to my skin color.
The pool was clean, and the hot tub was amazing! The rooms were very clean as well, and the beds were comfortable. My ONLY issue with this hotel was that the rooms echoed pretty badly. We had to lower our normal speaking voices or else it sounded like we were yelling at each other. However, that was a very minor inconvenience, and I would 100% stay here again!
