Great hotel near UC Berkeley
Pros:

Very nice hotel facility. Would stay here again. Staff were very positive and helpful. Good breakfast, and the ladies preparing it were friendly and efficient.

Cons:

Coffee was very weak. I found the Fellini Coffee Bar about a quarter mile away. Now THAT was excellent coffee!

We highly recommend the spa tub suite!
Pros:

Our suite was roomy and comfortable. Beautiful fancy spa tub. The bed was great, lovely smooth percale sheets. 2 large windows for fresh air. Great and close parking. Very nice hotel staff members. The breakfast is terrific!

Very Convenient, Friendly and Helpful Staff
Pros:

This hotel, on University Avenue, is near the "end" of it (or the beginning). If you like to get out and walk around, as my wife does, it is very close to a "neighborhood" and a famous "reptile store" (East Bay Vivarium), and not too far from a Trader Joes and a pretty good thrift store (Out of the Closet).

We had a sizeable 2-queen room. The lighting was excellent (important to me). Lots of counter space, but only 3 dresser drawers, but huge and deep.

The breakfast was one of the best I've had at a hotel. First day: 3 kinds of meats!, scrambled eggs (bah), fried potatoes, biscuits (fell apart).....the usual stuff. But, every day, hot cinnamon rolls and donuts like from a donut shop, not wrapped in plastic, but big and fresh. Their coffee was very good, with dispensers of flavored creamer.

For a hotel of this size, they have a pitifully small fitness "center."

Uitstekend hotel.
Pros:

Gezien de hotels in San Francisco qua prijzen de bocht uit vliegen vond ik het Holiday Inn in Berkeley een top hotel met een goed ontbijt. Met de BART naar San Francisco in no time en goedkoop en veilig.
De hygiëne in de kamers en het hotel zelf zijn van een hoog niveau. Gratis parkeren.
