Excellent location - the center of Isle of Palms. Everything is near - beach 50 meters, stories, cafes!!!
There is a large parking place in the Hotel. The room was great! King size of the bed is great too. And excellent view at the Ocean!
The water pressure in the shower and the watering can of the shower.
Its destination, staff, cleanliness, comfortable bed.
Walls are super thin and there isn’t a curfew enforced so if you don’t own a good pair of ear plugs you’re in for a miserable night especially if you end up with a family with kids next door.
We love the location of this hotel. It was right on the beach. It was also in the heart of Isle of Palms close to everything. We love the fact that the price was so affordable probably because we stayed in November but it was a treat to stay in such a great hotel at a reasonable price.
We loved everything about this hotel
It is very clean and in a great location!
Spotless hotel. Comfortable beds and pillows. We had a room facing the beach with a million-dollar view. The shower was spotless, had excellent water pressure, and plenty of towels.
The location was superb.
We were there in November, so it was very quiet, but there are outside bars and restaurants next door to the hotel. I would imagine in warmer months, you would hear everything from these restaurant bars. That would be the only disadvantage of having a room facing the beach.
Maybe in the warm months, you’d always keep the door closed with the air conditioning on, which was unnecessary in November. The beautiful breeze and the sound of the ocean were perfect!
The complimentary breakfast was a pleasant surprise in the nicely appointed lobby. Excellent choice for breakfast: bagels, cereals, hard-boiled egg, yoghurt, juices, and, to my surprise, delicious fresh pancakes.
Since it was approaching winter, they also had a complimentary hot chocolate bar with all kinds of toppings.
I would definitely return, it was a lovely small hotel with a friendly, accommodating staff.
Einfaches amerikanisches Hotel. Großes Zimmer, komfortable Betten

The Palms Oceanfront at Isle of Palms was a perfect place for catching that small town beach vibe in what used to be one of the several small beach areas mainly for SC locals. The Palms keeps that nostalgic feel but keeps current with nice clean rooms and a super nice staff. Like many things, price is pivot point for setting expectations and being happy. So, in the off-season, I got a room price that would easily match any standard hotel, plus it came with complimentary breakfast and a balcony with two nice white wood, high-top chairs and table serving a beach and ocean view. So, a great value. And, as stated, the rooms, along with white balcony furniture, were clean. So, that is my litmus test for comfort and waives my criticism even if a hotel is more dated. It was off-season, so noise was low and parking at the hotel and on the street were easy. And, everything was a minute walk. Like anything, manage your expectations. If you are looking for resort gated-entry, multiple expansive swim pools, no next-door bar or restaurant buzz, and the sand left far away on the beach, etc., go up the road for 2-5x more per night. And, often I'll do that. But, on this stay, I wanted a local, right on the beach, laid-back, surf, feel in a clean, friendly accommodation. The Palms Oceanfront was perfect. Thanks!
We had a wonderful time at The Palms we stayed in an oceanfront room perfect view. We left our slider open at night to be lulled to sleep by the oceans’ waves and woke each morning to a spectacular sunrise. Rent the lounge-chairs and umbrella so worth it lovely beach days sunning and reading or walking the sand searching for shells taking in the beautiful area. Plenty of restaurants and music close by many spots within walking distance. The continental breakfast was good for a quick bite to eat too!
This was one of the most disappointing hotel stays I’ve ever had. For the amount charged, The Palms Oceanfront Hotel was completely underwhelming. The first room was disgusting the sheets had visible urine stains. After requesting a move, the second room wasn’t much better: towels with holes, peeling floors, and overall poor upkeep.
To make matters worse, there’s no on-site parking guests are forced to park down the street. For a hotel charging premium rates, this level of cleanliness and maintenance is unacceptable. I would not recommend staying here.
It is a very basic room. One small round table with two chairs for eating or working I suppose.
A king size bed with a way too soft mattress for me. Thing feels like sponge. I have fear what my back will feel like in the morning.
I'm already considering checking out and heading to a Hampton or other Hilton product where I know the mattress will at least work for me. I'm 6'3" and about 245 pounds.
I'm sure back in the day anything this close to the beach was probably a great place to stay. Normally anything close to the beach I'd enjoy. There's nothing fancy or upscale or even mid-scale about this place.
Staff and beach!!!! Staff doing all they can to make you comfortable and they cared that you were tended too!
