Pros:

Had an issue with room door not locking, but was sorted straight away and moved us into a different room.

Cons:

Bed Was comfortable. Food was quite good.

Cons:

There was no hot water on first night which was fixed on the second night. I booked a double room but got a double with a very large pull out bed that was set up for 2 more people to sleep. This really cluttered the room which was not good. Also there was a bad smell coming from the sink which probably needed de-clogging at a guess.
The air-con unit was on its last legs and was so noisy that i ended up turning it off. No way that i could sleep with this turned on.

Good Stay at Holiday Inn
Pros:

Location and parking. All the things you’d expect from a Holiday Inn express were standard. Breakfast was ok, Gluten Free Options and Bar/ Food was good.

Cons:

Rooms are clean, basic but the air conditioning was noisy and didn’t really work.

Comfortable hotel, just outside the City Centre.
Pros:

Booked property at the 'last minute' to attend a concert at the First Direct Arena. Friendly welcome at check in. Comfortable room for my one night stay. Plenty of choice for the included breakfast.

Cons:

Not a complaint, but due to my late booking, I hadn't realised that this hotel was further from the train station and Arena than I had anticipated. I certainly got my steps in!!
The walk from the city centre to the hotel involves walking alongside a busy road, and crossing at a busy roundabout.

The overall experience was not bad except the aircon issue.
Cons:

The aircon didn't work. The staff immediately provided us with a table fan. I travelled with my two kids, and it was during the time of a heatwave at the end of May.
