Comfort Inn & Suites Allen Park - Dearborn

The pool was filthy, and seemed like more than just guest were utilizing the pool area. There was this guy that was there everytime we visited the pool conversing with 2 young ladies who were seen leaving with different males. There was weave laying on the pool deck and clumps of eye lashes floating in the hot tub. My husband and I never go out and it was my son's 1st stay anywhere that wasn't home. We were very disappointed. I paid for Friday through Sunday and they even shut my key off early as I went to get coffee just before 8:30am and had to knock to be let in as my key no longer worked. Checked second key to find it to no longer worked. Check out was 11am and the keys stopped working before 9. And as to why I didn't complain everytime we went to the lobby there was no one at the desk infact there was a basket to collect the room keys.

Easy to navigate to room

Booked online and paid in full before getting to hotel! When arriving we was told they couldn’t find my reservation and that I had to pay AGAIN and will not be able to get the discount price I got when booking online. I got the run around for 2 hours before saying forget it we going somewhere else!! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL I was coming into town (don’t live here) it was 1am and I had 3 little kids with me! Having proof of reservations and payment did nothing!!

The evening staff was rude. I was only given 2 towels and 2 washcloths for the entire wknd and when I asked for more the staff was rude. So I never swim or get in the hot tub.

The pool was very open

Cleanliness and sanitation has gone way downhill. I chose this hotel because personally I’ve had great experiences in the past staying here before Covid. For almost $100 a night totally not worth it, the one entrance door handle was broke off, walked to the entrance near the pool almost fell on ice there was no caution signs nor was the sidewalk salted. The room door barely shut all the way had to slam it shut or else you can just push it open, my room had red stains in the carpet. The pool water was discolored, full of chlorine, guests were swimming in street clothes and drinking at the pool. Only stayed the one night, my partner and I left sick the next morning. Won’t be returning…

No hot water.

Our room was dusty. Nobody vacuumed. Crumbs all over the floor. There was toilet paper and kleenex and a woman maxi pad under the shelves in the bathroom. Couldn't take a bath. No stopper. There was an ice machine in the hallway with vending machines. We'll There was water all over the floor and we told 3 different people about it and nobody did anything about it. And we saw a girl washing the floor by the elevators and she didn't clean up the water. The pool area had wet towels and garbage around the pool. I noticed dust everywhere in the lobby. Someone with allergies wouldn't like it. I'm a professional cleaner and I so wanted to clean everything. There should be extra garbage bags on the trash cans so if a guest fills it up they have another one.

The lobby was nice but rooms were dirty, carpets stained, in need of repair, cracks in ceiling and in general disrepair. The hot tub was cold and cloudy. It cost way too much money to be this bad.
